By Las Truchas from Jackson Hole on 05/26/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable Cons: May need cushion, Stiff Best Uses: Day hikes, Mountain Biking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels full size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I tried ordering a half size smaller, but had to exchange it for a full size smaller. I've worn these mountain biking and they were great. I wore them for a short hike and felt that I might need to add a cushion sole as they were a bit stiff and hard on my heels. Otherwise I find them comfortable and durable.
By C&W from Woodstock, MD on 04/23/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Not a bad shoe, but not enough support/shock absorption for hikes.
tough lightweight casual shoe By teaching tammy from tucson az on 03/25/2008 Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Much better than normal athletic shoes for casual wear
By barbk from Minnesota on 11/09/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Durable Cons: Look big but who cares Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer, Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I just received these shoes so don't know how they will wear. I just wanted to let other buyers know that I ordered my normal size and they fit to a "T", no need to order one size smaller. I'll use them for hiking in the Grand Canyon and don't want my toes hitting the front of my shoes on the incline.
By Tellurian from Acadia National Park, Maine on 10/25/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer, Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Comfortable right out of the box. Provide plenty of support, but I still feel nimble in them. Soles have excellent traction. Wish they were waterproof rather than just water-resistant. They are fine in the rain, but stay out of the deep puddles! Unless I am carrying a heavy pack and want the added ankle support of hiking boots, I consider these shoes fine (and preferable)for any hike (unless the weather and terrain will let me get away with sport sandals).
By Spackle from State College, PA on 09/12/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Non-slip sole, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased a pair of Asolo trail shoes last year, and although I wore them almost every day they are still in great shape - especially the soles. I've been through many different shoe brands, but Asolos were the first I'd found to be both comfortable and durable. That's why I bought another pair (these) this year. Woo-hoo!
