They were not easy to get on and off and the elastic fell apart.

I don't run so didn't want the weight of running shoes. I also use these when I'm walking in the surf. Protects my feet from sharp stuff. They are comfortable and easy to put on.

Sizing runs a bit small; for 8.5 should've rounded up I guess, but these will do just fine. Stretches enough to accommodate swollen foot/ankle that has perpetual edema problem, while still fitting other foot.
