2nd attempt at Superdrago sizing By climbonclimber from reno, nv on 10/04/2009 Cons: Causes Hotspots or Blisters, No Arch Support, Not Enough Cushioning, Too Stiff Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: To be fair, this was an online sale and I was unable to try on in the store. The sole rubber is barely sticky (1st time use on sandstone) and sole is very stiff making steep ascents/descents fairly sketchy. I'm a solid woman's US size 6, and can wear Mythos 35.5 all day long with comfort. Pretty disappointed in this La Sportiva product.
On the up side - my experience with Sierra Trading Post has been stellar - will definitely shop with them in the future.
By Casual Climber from Santa Clara, CA on 09/30/2009 Best Uses: Climbing Approach Shoe Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought these for approaches and walk-offs (rock climbing). Good soles, sturdy enough, but not too heavy. These will require a little break in. I have a wide foot - a bit tight in the forefoot, but I can address that with a different lacing pattern. Overall, I like them fine and they are a good value.
Were exactly what I was looking for By Chris from Wichita, KS on 05/03/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Great Smearing Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought theses shoes to be able to wear all the time and get on an indoor climbing wall without feeling like I'm climbing in street shoes. They accomplish exactly what I was looking for and make my life so much easier. I don't have to spend all day in my climbing shoes anymore. I'd give it a 5 if the shoe wasn't too small. Would have gone bigger if I knew they weren't true to size.
By LJB from Portland, OR on 02/03/2009 Pros: Durable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use these around town, biking and for occasional light hiking or approach. They're comfortable and fit well.
By Eyeguy from Lansing, MI on 05/27/2008 Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Sending them back as they are way too small for american sizing
By melted snickerbar from Portland, OR on 03/23/2008 Cons: No arch support, Wear Out Quickly Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This shoes can handle well on rocks and trails. It is bit narrow and tight fit on toe, like a climbing shoe. Also, La Sportiva does European sizing that seems to run half size smaller than U.S. sizing chart. Overall the shoes get soft and flexible quickly. There is no arch support on this shoes and need to replace insole with superfeet or other products . I like this shoes and La Sportiva Cinque but both are about half size small. If you want to have all day comfort, I would use Five ten guide tennie and similar hiking/approach shoes that are slightly bigger size than this shoes.
