By mountain girl from San Diego, CA on 12/01/2008 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Grass, Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Mountaineer, Trail Runner, Traveler Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes are great. I've used them on a few trips to South America as my main shoes, my approach shoes for climbing big mountains, and my running shoes for when I'm around the city on "rest" days. I can do anything in these! Excellent traction, they climb/scramble well, and with a cushioned insole, they work well for street running. Couldn't get better.
By Climber from Bend, OR on 11/18/2008 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes fit well, but the fabric bunches and pokes my feet on the inside, say 1/4 of the way down my feet from my toes. I'm hoping it goes away in time, but right now I've put some tags in there to stiffen it.
Fourth pair and still love them By romi from fairfield, CA on 11/08/2008 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent Best Uses: Everyday, Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have put these shoes on out of the box and walked all day. Virtually no break in time. Very good cushioning and excellent lacing that adapts for wide feet.
Great Approach/Trail Shoe By NVRockClimber from Lake Tahoe, NV on 10/29/2008 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Dries Quickly, Durable, Great Traction Best Uses: Mixed Terrain, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Rockclimber, Trail Jogger Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have worn these shoes on many all-day hikes up/down/around talus fields & trail jogs. These shoes fit true to size, for your normal 'running shoe size.' I love the sticky rubber soles on them & the breathable uppers (which allows some dirt/sand inside). They are fairly stiff, for use on trails & rocks, which steals some of the cushioning that I'd want if I were to run on the streets with them. That's actually something that I like about them though -- that I can hike around all day in them and not have sore feet from the rocks.

By Laura from Austin TX on 01/12/2008 Pros: Durable, Great Traction, Stable Cons: Heavy, Short in the toe Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I use this show for light hiking but found it to be a little short in the toe and my toenails are hurting. It was very stable on a rocky trail.
Very comfortable and sporty looking! By Kettle Korn Popper from Griswold, Ct on 01/04/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Love these. I usually order Asolo's because I love them so much but these Sportiva's may be my new favorites. They are very well made, extremely comfortable and I love the look of them. I bought the Lavender ones and believe it or not, they are very pretty.
