By holyhumor from San Francisco on 07/28/2008 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my 6th pair of Montrails and at this point I have a hard time wearing anything else. Incredibly comfortable, supportive, stable shoes. The odyssey were more for everyday casual wear, I don't really think they were designed to be as formidible as the Hard Rocks. I use Hard Rocks for actual trail running, 20-25 miles a week in Golden Gate Park.
decent shoe for the money By mr. carlos from lexington, ky on 07/22/2008 Pros: Great Traction, Non-slip sole Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Shoe fits moderately well somewhat sloppy feel on thr outside sole. Like most montrail shoes, support is concentrated on the arch and not thre outside edges.
By Willothewisp from Albuquerque, NM on 05/15/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Good cushioning, Great Traction, Stable Best Uses: Speed Walking, Uneven terrain Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very comfortable and gives excellent cushioning. Nice toe box. Just find that the outer part of shoe is showing wear and the sole wears a little bit more quickly than I had expected. I have found Montrail an excellent shoe and a great value. Take into account I walk in them 4 miles a day 5-6 days/week and shoes should only be used for this purpose, before being retired, 4-6 months or 400 miles. Would buy them again. They are comfortable "Kick About" shoes now.
