No need for bells and whistles By matthew from Charlottesville, VA on 09/11/2007 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Travel, work Describe Yourself: Non-descript Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased these sandals for work. Simple, black, professional, and yet completely suited for all-terrain and all-weather. My other pair of Teva's I have had for years, and the sole is finally coming undone in a couple spots (which I keep gluing). My only concern with these sandals are the "improvements" over my old (just black straps, a buckle, and a sole) pair. The quick-release mechanism might prove a weak point over time. The more complicated strapping can get tangled in an extraordinarily confusing way (I always re-attach the quick-release after I take the sandals off now, to prevent this problem). And the cushiony heel support will likely degrade quicker than the nylon webbing. Despite my preference for minimalism, none of my minor complaints are actual problems at present. I have much faith in the Teva brand, and am quite happy with my new sandals.
By kourtjestr from Maine on 09/11/2007 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Very Adjustable Best Uses: At The Beach, Casual Wear Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great sandals! Fit well, very comfortable. Took a minute to figure out the straps, but once I did, and got them adjusted, they are very easy on/off.
By Slooper from Seattle, WA on 08/31/2007 Cons: Causes Blisters, Release clip doesnt work, Strap Chafes, Wear Out Quickly Best Uses: unusable product Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The first time I got them wet (the 2nd day of wearing them), the release buttons stopped working, so the straps would no longer connect to the sandals. This happened simultaneously on both sandals, so it is not a quality problem - it is a poor design and is unusable. The front straps are too tight, although the length is right. They also gave me a blister in the short time I wore them before the release buttons stopped working.
