By Jen the Hiker from Flagstaff, AZ on 06/06/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete, Grand Canyon Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is the third time I've bought these shoes. They haven't let me down yet. They are comfortable right out of the box, and a great alternative to heavy hiking boots for day hikes in the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Arches National Park, or anywhere else I've taken them.

It is not a true size fitting. All my hiking boots have been 81/2 never a problem. These are too big.
look good, but I had to return these By recreational hiker from Reno, NV on 05/30/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Great Traction Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Should have read the other reviews before I ordered. These boots were tight in the toe area and too loose in the heel. I never did try to hike in them, but just walking around the house, my heel slips in & out of the shoe. I'm sure I'd get blisters if I did hike in them. But they look good.
