By Hiker Girl from Minnesota on 11/07/2008 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Dries Quickly, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Cons: Narrow in the toe box Best Uses: Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: these are great, comfortable, durable boots. i've had another pair of Lowa boots that i've been using for years. this pair is sort of a combination running shoe-hiking boot: lightweight, comfortable and with great tread.
they're a little narrow in the toebox, but other than that they fit quite well.
By Active Gal with Dog from Durango, CO on 11/07/2008 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction Best Uses: Everyday, Mixed Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker, Trail Jogger Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are very comfy shoes right out of the box. I am on my feet all day and I wear these to work as well as recently up a 13,000' peak in scree. I ordered a 1/2 size smaller than usual (based on prior reviews) and I'm glad I did. I have long, narrow feet and these are great!
By Practical shoe wearer from Columbus, Ohio on 09/01/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Wore these shoes to work daily. After only 2 months, found holes inside of lining at heel. Shoe was stiff and never became comfortable.

By milkmay from Calgary, AB on 07/08/2008 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I am normally a size 7 and they came at least a half size if not a whole size big. They also feel too constricting on my foot and do not lace up very well.

should have listened to the review By martinsmom from bend, or on 05/14/2008 Pros: Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Cons: Too narrow in metatarsal, Too wide in heel Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I have had two other pairs of Lowa hikers, both with the same last. For some reason the last is different on these shoes. The front of the shoe is stitched tightly and is too narrow. The heel was slipping. I should have listened to the review that said it was only good for narrow feet (with a wide heel).
By Max the dog walker from Reading, PA on 03/17/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole Cons: A little wide in the heel Best Uses: Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The Lowa is a half size smaller than I normally wear...having had Lowa hikers before, I knew I should order accordingly. I like the roomy toe box. The easy wearing comfort allows you to wear these all day and never even think you have hikers on! I have ordered the hikers for a gift, too.
By barbk from Minnesota on 01/25/2008 Pros: Durable, Great Traction, Water Resistant, Well-made Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Too wide in the heel. They have a gusset attached to the tongue that really digs into the top of my feet. The tongue is too padded and takes up all of the room in the shoe. I'm disappointed and will return these shoes.
