By AJ from Florida on 07/09/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought the first pair to wear as inside shoes only to help with my plantar fasciitis problem. They felt so good on my feet that I purchased a second pair within 1 week to wear outdoors and they are holding up just fine.
By Surfsk8grrl from CA on 07/01/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Not the prettiest but very comfy. I have 2 pairs of these because I liked them so much and they were at an awesome price here. I put 'Not water risistant' as a Con but then they probably wouldn't be as breathable.
By Lunchtime Runner from Buena Vista, CO on 06/25/2008 Pros: Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered both Vasque Endorphin and Kota trail runners because I couldn't decide online which I wanted. I returned the Endorphin because it didn't hug my feet like the Kota and I can actually feel the Kota's "cleats" just by walking in them. So if you have a wider foot, this would be the shoe for you. If I didn't have the Kota to compare with, I would've kept these.
Great Trail Running Shoe! By KIM from KENTUCKY on 06/24/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great on trails! Very comfortable!
By marie from PA on 06/18/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Had a similar pair that I wore hiking in Utah for several days, they finally wore out. Glad that I could replace them with a similar Vasque hiking shoe that lives up to the last pair. When you want something a more substantial but don't need boots, these are great.
Great all around day hiking shoe By Getting back to it from Boston, MA and Southwestern CO on 06/17/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Stable Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am a former avid hiker getting back into the swing of things and after trying on abou five pairs of shoes/boots, I found these to be the absolute best. They have good arch support, the heel doesn't slip and there is plenty of room for my toes to wiggle around, which I like. Good support and all around comfort.
By Cindy from LaGrange Park, IL on 06/09/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Lightweight solid shoe, Non-slip sole, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I found these shoes fit well and were comfortable from the minute I put them on. I had hoped they would be versatile enough to act as a second running shoe for my suburban neighborhood. However, they are are stiff, stable, and rugged, and more appropriate for trail use rather than hard and flat streets. I am confident that they will be perfect for my travels when I hike and walk around town all day.
By pipperdoodles from northern NM on 05/29/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love these shoes! I've only worn them a couple of times, but enough to know that (a) they aren't going to give me blisters, and (b) they have great traction, even in wet conditions, including snow going up steep inclines (ski hill). Although they aren't supposed to be waterproof, they kept the light snow at bay the last time I had them on. Finally, there was plenty of room in the toe-box (I like my shoes a little wider), but I bought a half size up from my norm since I'm using them for running.
best trail running shoe I've found By hotashes from CT on 05/24/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes have lived up to all of the other reviews. I tried them out for a day at work to break them in before I took them on the trail. My feet were not sore at all after 8 hours in them. I can't wait to get them on the trail!
By hp from San Francisco, CA on 05/19/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Cons: Sole Wears Out Quickly Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday, Trail running Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is roughly my fourth pair. I love the Vasque fit - a narrowish in the heel and wideish across the metatarsal/toe box. Good arch support means I can skip the arch support inserts in my Vasques. They are super surefooted for for dayhikes and trail runs. These shoes are not the best for pavement as they are more firm than cush, and the soles wear fairly quickly.
