These shoes were great for my purposes (MTB and hiking). My only regret is that I would have preferred to wear them without socks, but the side netting was a little too snug (and rough feeling) on my narrow feet.

Comments:
This now my second season on them. Soles are starting to wear & the toe cover is starting to crack. But for the price, I feel I got my $$ worth, especially for using them pretty much every day in the warm water season. Although, I was on a boat for most of their use, so the sole wear isn't so great, but still for the price; I'm sure they'll serve me another season of fishing & boating. For the most part I fish lakes that require carrying my boat a few hundred feet through wooded steep trails and these are excellent at that! So for how much the soles wore; I cannot really complain much. I just wish everything lasted forever & cost nothing. These are great in the water since I never get debris inside the shoe even when walking through some really mucky soft bottom waters. Not something sandals can do comfortably and it's one reason why I enjoy the tight fit. Sores on the feet were terrible at first, but I wear them so much I get callouses in those areas so they are very comfy once the feet adapt. This is my first pair of water shoes and they don't dry anywhere near as fast as what I had hoped for. A friend has a pair of salomon water shoes and they don't dry any faster. These will stink if you don't rinse them after every use. These stay outside the whole warm water season so that is probably why the toe covers are cracking since they get heavily weathered through direct sun & rain. I'll probably buy these again if they are available & the price is still low. Also, I have freakishly high arches for a man so putting them on & off is a bit of a battle, but not enough for me not to wear them. I don't even lace them up tight, laces are just there. Since these are on their way out; I will probably experiment with cutting just the top of the tongue a few threads down to make putting them on easier and then they should be just perfect.

Great concept, however...
By Rafa from Carlsbad, CA on 03/12/2008
Pros:
Breathes Well, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish
Cons:
Causes Blisters, Hard to put on, Too Stiff
Best Uses:
At The Beach, Casual Wear
Describe Yourself:
Alternative, Stylish
Sizing:
Feels half size too big
Width:
Feels too narrow
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Conceptually the product is a great idea, e.g. lets water in/out & keeps out sand, etc. It also looks great and has great name recognition (Teva). However, the top-most strap is prohibitive in that it does not stretch wide enough, and makes it difficult to put the shoe on and take off! Also, once the shoe is on, the part above your toes is very hard. After several hours of wear, you end up with blisters on top of your toes. I never imagined I would have this kind of experience form a pair of Tevas!

Great shoe for outdoor water sports
By Jenn the log roller from Hudson, WI on 03/09/2008

Best Uses:
Kayaking, Log rolling
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:

Comments:
This is a perfect shoe for log rollers. It releases water well, is lite weight, and has great traction. The only down fall is that you MUST wear socks inside this water shoe or you may get blisters or cuts on your feet.

These shoes cut open my pinky toes. I bled and bled. If your feet are tougher than the average bear or you want to wear socks with water shoes they're probably great.
