Great shoes for touring the UK By UK fans from Kansas on 08/11/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Everyday, Wet Weather Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My husband and I bought Goretex shoes to take a two week trip to England, anticipating that we might be encountering wet weather and puddles. The shoes held up wonderfully--very comfortable, entirely waterproof through shallow puddles, and stable on wet pavement, cobblestone streets, and climbing castle walls and stone ruins! Only lost a star because I wasn't entirely entranced with the styling or color of shoe, but I knew that before buying them.
By Needs Comfort When Active from Chadds Ford on 07/16/2008 Pros: Durable, Stable, Waterproof Cons: Stiff in the ankle area Best Uses: Day hikes, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these to go for walks and hiking with my dog. Needed something waterproof and didn't want the bulk of waterproof hiking boots. The Asolos do seem a little stiff and there isn't a lot of cushioning. I have not worn them for extended amounts of time, but they seem like they will work for my purpose. They do seem wide in the front, but in the colder months, I'll need that room for thicker socks. So far, I do not regret my purchase.

By Cookie from Warren, VT on 05/02/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels full size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got my Asolo boots about two weeks ago. I had to return them twice due to having to go down a full size. Now that I have them and have had a chance to "play" in them, I love them. I've used them in semi-deep mud, snow, ice - very stable, rainy backcountry, road dog walking, dry conditions and crunching through the back woods near my home. Yes, Vermont HAS had all of those conditions in the past two weeks! So far, no complaints. They are performing well and I can't wait to take them up the mountain this weekend!
