By Sylvan Laker from Alberta, Canada on 08/26/2009 Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: always fit size 9 so followed instructions and sized down - but size is still off. And worse yet, the shoe makes your feet look huge.

By lovemybike from SD on 07/15/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Describe Yourself: Outdoor girl, Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It is a nice shoe except it is too long for me. I wear a size 8 in a Keen and Merrill,so I ordered a size 6 after reading reviews. It is still too long and I wish I wish I had ordered a size 5. It is also more narrow in the front. So I can't give it to my wider foot friend and have to return. It does have a great arch support. Unable to give a more extensive review as to the uses...couldn't take them outside.
It's true. These shoes are built for men By Elge from Redding, CT on 06/05/2009 Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker, Trail Jogger Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: If my foot were wider and heavier, these may have worked, but there was way too much room in this shoe, even with a thick sock. I believe these were designed to be unisex (men's and ladies sizing on the box), but should not be marketed for the average woman's foot. I can see that they'd have good traction for hiking rough trails, but runners they are not. I prefer a lighter, leaner shoe for everyday trail running/walking.

By daisygirl from Idaho on 05/21/2009 Cons: Not Comfortable, Not flexible Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The shoe was extremely stiff and uncomfortable the moment I put it on. The pictures looked like better quality to me than the actual shoe. Am returning for a refund.
This shoe is so GREAT..I need a 2nd pr. By Deliteful D from NY on 04/13/2009 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Dries Quickly, Durable, Great Traction, Stabilizes Foot Cons: 2wks of wear ends wore, Laces wore kind of quick Best Uses: Everyday, Grass, Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete, Dancer, Long dist runner biker, Recreational Walker/Hiker, Trail Jogger Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Suffering 2 yrs of Plantar Fasciitis , tried many shoes, my running sneakers were best ,but these trail shoes really help absorb more shock . I am able to get back out walking, though running may never happen again for me. I even danced in my Zamberlan's the other night!! Not the sexy dance shoe I am use to but my "Z's" let me kick up my heels some.
Impressive quality, poor fit=useless By laural from boston on 04/07/2009 Pros: Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered woman;s size 9.5...tho what they sent is marked a nine. I take a woman;s TEN, sometimes 10.5 with orthotics. What they sent was STILL quite long even with my orthotics and the insole, but workable. However, the toes are pointy and ball of the foot is not wide enough, even with the extra length. Too bad about the fit, they are very rigid (have a shank)which suits what I want...these are no sneakers...they are serious hiking shoes especially for their low cut. I really like them...can;t wear them tho. BUMMER! Not recommended unless you have a NARROW front of the foot (but then the heel would probably slip up..it is not narrow).
