Hmmmm?
By DawggroomerVerified Reviewer from Hermiston,Oregon on 11/12/2008
Cons:
Not Comfortable
Best Uses:
All Weather Conditions, Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain
Describe Yourself:
Recreational Walker/Hiker
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
This shoe felt narrow and still long even though I ordered down a full size. The odd design over the top and sides of the foot cause alot of uncomfortable seams against the foot. The heel was very loose. Never tried them out sent back.

Engineered in Italy, made in China
By adacorn from seattle on 11/08/2008
Pros:
Breathable, Durable, Stabilizes Foot
Cons:
Not flexible
Best Uses:
All Weather Conditions, Mixed Terrain
Describe Yourself:
Recreational Walker/Hiker
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Based on other reviews, I ordered these 2 sizes down. I usually wear a womens 9 and I ordered a 7, and they fit perfectly (the inner tag shows them to be European 39). I've been wearing them pretty much since the day they arrived. It didn't seem that they needed a break-in period as they fit well, but at first wearing them made my feet "tired". I've found that using a thicker sock with padding helps when I wear them all day. They feel like a well made shoe. Haven't used them for hiking just for an around town, all- weather shoe that protects my foot. Can't beat the price and I'm happy to have them!

this looks like a really nice, well-made shoe, but: - it doesn't fit my now 8-medium feet. - it is engineered in Italy, but made in China. Please note that I am trying to not buy shoes made in China.

Not Zamberlan's Best
By Avid HikerVerified Reviewer from Southern California on 04/13/2008
Pros:
Durable, Good Brand, Good styling, Made in Italy Not China
Cons:
Heavy, Inflexible, Slips at heel, Two full sizes too large
Describe Yourself:
Avid Adventurer
Sizing:
Feels full size too big
Width:
Feels too wide
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Zamberlan hiking shoes and boots are some of the best shoes I've ever worn, but this shoe is not their best. The American sizing runs two full sizes too large (see the chart on their website to get your correct size) & the shoe actually feels a bit wide. This shoe feels very inflexible, although I've found the same in couple of other "hiking shoes," so that may be the shoe type. At any rate, I sent it back. Had I kept it, the traction and durability of the shoe would have been good. The construction also seemed to allow for some water repellance, rather than absorption. Again, Zamberlans are really good shoes and I will continue to seek out their products.

I was planning on using these shoes as my new farm shoes because of the constructions, but I can't afford to be exchanging them all the time to get the perfect fit. So, I am just going to return them this time for a refund. I wished they would of fit. [...]

narrow toe wide heel
By consumerVerified Reviewer from Pittsburgh, PA on 03/21/2008
Pros:
Comfortable
Cons:
Weird fit
Best Uses:
Day hikes, Everyday
Describe Yourself:
Avid Adventurer
Sizing:
Feels full size too big
Width:
Feels too wide
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I tried 3 pair of these, and found 2 sizes smaller the best fit, however, the heel was too wide and slipped, while the toe box was narrow - otherwise would be a good shoe.
