These shoes were just what I expected By Kat from Carthage, TN on 01/28/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Work Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have Vasque Hiking boots with Goretex and now these shoes. They are both great whether on the trail or working(I use them mostly for work). They also look good as a casual shoe with jeans, too. I will buy more Vasque Brands in the future.
I buy them one size larger and wear a thick sock to allow for long periods of standing and walking.
By griselda grouch from little rock on 01/27/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Grippy, Looks high tech Best Uses: Casual Wear, Dog walking, Work Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes are very high-tech/modern looking with the asymmetrical lacing and all. And the soles are remarkably non-slip on rocks and concrete, they grip like there's some magic glue on them or something--I think they'd be slippery on ice, though. I've been wearing them mostly for dog walking on hilly terrain, and they've been very comfortable right out of the box. My only complaint is they don't seem to have much arch support.
By Lab Mom from NC foothills on 01/26/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Great traction, Versatile Cons: Black marks when wet Best Uses: Casual Wear, Light hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: the only thing that keeps these from being perfect is, when wet, they leave black marks on the floor, it makes them nice & sticky.
By Gin from Port Angeles, Wa on 01/24/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel, Work Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is the second pair. I've had the 1st pair over a year, and decided to try the next size up. I wear them for everything except dress up. Total strangers comment on what good looking shoes they are. Of course,I do live in the Pacific Northwest.I've worn them for travel, they're great for running through airports and strolling Las Ramblas.
By Long-time Sierra shopper from Hartford, CT on 01/20/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I haven't had a chance to wear them much yet, but I've been looking for a supportive hiking/walking shoe. They are comfortable (around the house so far and only on short trips outside) and good-looking. They're also pretty light, which is important as I'll be traveling with them.

By Adventure Driven from Clovis, New Mexico on 12/30/2008 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Versatile Cons: Odd heel on a hiking shoe Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love the way it looks and feels. Never had a bad pair of Vasque's! The only compaint I have about this pair, is the unusual heel for a pair of hiking shoes. It holds the mud. I wish it was a little more gradual.

But I came across this
one. And for the price I figured I couldn't lose. It was practically a steal. I figured if they worked for climbing they out to work wil in snow. So far so good!

By Charlevoix Wearer from Charlevoix, MI on 12/09/2008 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Versatile Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I put these on and didn't want to take them off at the end of the day they were so comfortable! They are also stylish in a rugged or casual-wear way - great for a northern Michigan resident!
Sometimes I have trouble with certain styles or brands because they tend to run too wide; these fit my foot really well.
