By Kristen from Syracuse, NY on 04/08/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stable Describe Yourself: Gym Rat Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got these shoes about a week before taking them on a trip to Hawaii. I broke them in with a few long walks at home, and they were perfect for hiking on vacation (uneven lava rocks, muddy hills). A great shoe when you need something more rugged than a sneaker, but less than a hiking boot. Very comfortable, no blisters.
I typically wear a size 8 street shoe, but vary between an 8 or an 8.5 athletic shoe. 8.5 was the right size for this pair.

They even feel good in the morning! I tend toward having a narrow-medium foot and these shoes fit fantastic. I wish I could order another pair but they are out of my size.

By ilovemydogs from Boston, MA on 02/09/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These were too small right out of the box which was disappointing given the comments I read about them. The toe box was very narrow, I"d say one needs to go up a half size at least.
By Rochester Runner from Rochester, NY on 12/07/2008 Pros: Attractive design, Good Traction, Nice colors, Stable Cons: Stiff midsole, Toe box runs narrow Best Uses: Pavement, Trails, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: In addition to hiking, they serve as good all purpose casual winter shoes for cold or damp conditions. Because of the narrow toe box, consider ordering a half size up for best fit.
Great for slickrock scrambles! By Sego Lily from Placitas, New Mexico on 12/05/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stable Describe Yourself: Gym Rat Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: New Mexico and Southeast Utah is my playground and this shoe is terrific for slickrock trails. I have worn Montrails for years. The key to a good fit is to buy a half size larger than you wear in street shoes.
