By sher from Houston, Tx on 11/08/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Pavement, Trails Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice lightweight sneaker with good support. Runs narrow even though I have narrow feet. Haven't worn them in colder weather yet, but seem comfortable
Not for a foot that is on the wide side. By Feet like boxes from Baltimore on 11/07/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Really liked the looks of the poduct, but it just didn't fit my foot that is a bit wider than normal. I really wanted them to fit, but they just didn't.
By Maximus from Albuquerque, NM on 09/22/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Fast, Good Traction, Lightweight Best Uses: Pavement, Trails, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Professional Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Too bad that Montrail got bought out by Columbia, then then stopped making this shoe. This is the best approach shoe I've ever put on my foot. It lasted me for two years. Having taken it all around the world, I'll miss then dearly.

By doone57 from Bellevue, Idaho on 06/25/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Good Padding, Versatile Best Uses: Rock scrambling, Trails Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: So far these shoes are great. I was a little put off by a review that stated the stickly sole came off and I hope I don't have that experience. I have a narrow heel and Montrail shoes fit my foot best. I used them trail hiking and rock scrambling a few times and other than getting them dirty and dusty they don't appear to be breaking down any.
By boo from salt lake city, ut on 05/12/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Good Padding, Versatile Best Uses: climbing approaches, Trails, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use these shoes for climbing approaches as well as climbing moderate alpine routes. They are great for narrown feet and have good sticky rubber. I wish they were still making them.

Versatile trail and climbing shoe By Emily from Seattle, WA on 01/07/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Versatile Best Uses: Trails, Wet Conditions Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wore these shoes on a short hike and ended up doing some bouldering in Yosemite, then wore them yesterday with Gators for a snowshoeing trip in the North Cascades. I've only had them a week or so, but they seem versatile and have been totally comfortable.

By Specialena from East Idaho on 10/17/2007 Cons: Unstable, Wears Out Easily Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes have already worn out and I've only owned them for three months. The decorative sole is peeling back or is already completely gone, and it no longer looks attractive with glue on fabric!
I went on ONE hike in these shoes and twisted my ankles three times during a relatively level walk. (I am in very good shape and hike often in approach and tennis shoes)
They have little to no support. The foot bed was very uncomfortable so I bought insoles within the first week of owning these shoes.
Put your money somewhere else.
