A good sturdy shoe. It is very supportive, which I prefer in shoes that have "built up" soles.

Comments:
I've been wearing the Hurricane for over 5 years now and don't plan on changing anytime soon. I'm a heavier runner who needs the extra support the Hurricane provides, 5'10" / 200 lbs, and I put on 20+ miles a week and run longer distant races.

I "found" the Saucony Grid Hurricane series back when they were on number 3 or so. I have essentially bought 2 pairs a year since then. Whenever I see them available at Sierra Trading Post in my size, I snatch them up. Great support.

Comments:
As a 190lb, moderate pronator, these shoes are relatively light though with adequate cushioning and superior motion control. I especially appreciate the extra-wide heel base. These shoes keep me "on track" and feel a bit like the old Saucony Dixon.
