It is very supportive, which I prefer in shoes that have "built up" soles.
By Rose from St Paul, MN on 05/01/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've been wearing the Hurricane for over 5 years now and don't plan on changing anytime soon. I'm a heavier runner who needs the extra support the Hurricane provides, 5'10" / 200 lbs, and I put on 20+ miles a week and run longer distant races.

A stable shoe regardless of the weather. By Paul from Cape Elizabeth, ME on 04/16/2008 Pros: Comfortable, supportive, stable Best Uses: Pavement, Trails, Triathlons Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: As a 190lb, moderate pronator, these shoes are relatively light though with adequate cushioning and superior motion control. I especially appreciate the extra-wide heel base. These shoes keep me "on track" and feel a bit like the old Saucony Dixon.
