I lived in these shoes almost the entire time--even showered in them! The only time I even pulled out my tennis shoes was when I wanted something closed-toed for working construction. Even gave away my tennis shoes halfway through the trip! There was no break-in time--the soles are incredibly flexible, but still sturdy. These sandals were great at the airport (easy to get off at checkpoints, while my companions were forever adjusting their Chaco straps), on both of the 6-hour flights (easy to adjust when my feet swelled), when pounding the pavement in Nairobi (good arch support), while hiking through the bush (great traction), and when on safari, too! Over a year later, they are still my go-to sandals.

These fit the casual slot. They're very comfortable and useful in the rain, at the beach, in wet grass or dry. Wish there were half sizes, though. My little toe hangs off the side of the 8 and the 9's look like boats. Kept the 9s, though. Comfort and, oh yeah, color sold me. A friend got the 8's. They fit great and she loves them.
