By vrek from the Netherlands, Europe on 05/25/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Arch Support, Lightweight, Stylish Best Uses: At The Beach, Casual Wear Describe Yourself: Alternative, Casual Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I (woman) like these sandals so much, I already have 2 pair of them in different colours (man/woman model). I bought one size up and they fit very well! They are not too narrow for my wide feet, I am very happy! The straps are very short, but it is not too difficult to replace the velcro. Arch support is marvelous, they are lightweigt and so beautiful, for me these are the best sandals ever!

I bike, kayak and have even jogged in them. They're very easy to get on and off. I wear them in the water and they dry off very quickly. They seem very durable and I'm into my second season with my first pair.

the last of the Alp sandals By el jefe MS from San Marcos, TX on 05/18/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Good Arch Support, Lightweight Best Uses: Boating, Casual Wear, Field work, River rafting, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual, Field scientist, Water lover Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've used Alps since before Teva bought them out (Their only competition among river guides) in the early 90's. I still have a pair of leather lace-up Alps. It's too bad Teva doesn't make them anymore. The Alp Volterras are more comfortable than my Guide 06, and the buckle and strap system are better. I don't like that little side button on the Guides. The arch support is better, too. Some reviewers have panned them for their thin straps being feminine. Get over it. They hold the foot better. Alps always have. This is the most comfortable pair made. Again, it's a shame that Teva hasn't kept them in the catalog. The design is the best version yet. The microban keeps them from stinking (as much as) Chacos. They do run a little narrow, but most of that is because the straps come up the outside of the sandal, and not through it like the old pairs. I normally wear D and it doesn't bother me. The buckle and strap system could also use a little more adjustability. I almost at the end of all of the straps. My Guides are the same way. I don't know who has ankles that small, but it's a Teva shortcoming. That's the only reason they get a 4 star. At the price I'm thinking of ordering a backup pair while I can.
I found my new favorite ssndal By dsgkjwer from ky on 05/14/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Arch Support, Lightweight, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Travel Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought a pair of these and a pair of the columbia water sandals at the same time. I had a pair of the columbias before and figured I would just try these. I don't think I can wear the columbias even as a back up to these again. I'll probably just order another pair so I have a backup. Sizing is exactly as it says, I wear a 10.5 and ordered a 10. Fit is perfect.
Liked them enough to buy a second pair. By hispeednodrag from Jacksonville, Fl on 05/04/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: At The Beach, Casual Wear, Travel Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have a very wide foot and they were a little tight at first but I wore them for almost 12 hours the very first day with no problems. They are great for casual wear with jeans.
