Sole is really a good shock absorber, you can jog short distances with them, yet they aren't heavy in weight. Bought 2 pairs and wear everyday just about everywhere.

These actually offer more support and a thicker sole that's better designed for walking on tough terrain. These are also even more adjustable that my previous pair. I wear Teva's a little during the summer. I mostly wear them when I'm vacationing in Australia during their summer as I spend a lot of time at the beaches. Highly recommend this style.

Could not wear out my last pair of Tevas, but wanted to buy a new pair for an upcoming trip to Costa Rica. They will be perfect. My daughters (16, 13, and 11) also bought the same shoes. They don't consider them stylish, but comfortable and appropriate for kayaking, hiking, and beach combing.

I buy them particularly because of their pronation support. I have a couple of older pairs dedicated to water/kayaking use. Sierra Trading Post offers the best prices for a "Teva collector" like me. It's a cold day when they get put away for the winter.
