Great shoe, wearing them now By Mac from Montana on 02/28/2009 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent Best Uses: At The Gym, Everyday, Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Gym Rat, Trail Jogger Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Wore these right out of the box with no problem at all. They are very comfortable and have ample room for my wide foot. They are lightweight, but still have a heavy duty tread. I lift weights in them, haven't tested them on the trails yet, but have been walking all over town in them (on ice) with no problem. They were also comfy on my five mile treadmill run this morning. Don't know how well they repel water, but I know they'll be comfy on the trail. Bought them 1/2 size bigger to allow for swelling during my runs and I'm glad I did, I have perfect toe room.

No slipping and sliding at all. Good drainage.

I am usually a size 10, ordered 10.5, which perhaps I should not have done, a tad on the large side now. but great overall.
By Alex from IL on 02/13/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Dries Quickly, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker, Trail Jogger Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Great shoes, good quality and great stability, good-looking as well. The only problem that I have with them (that I have with many low-top hikers and trail runners) is that the heel cup is shallow causing irritating and down right dangerous lifting of the heel with each step. Since they are low, there aren't any lacing tricks. Taking the insole out helps but the fit and support are greatly diminished. I hate to see these go, I wanted to love them. ALSO, unlike most Vasques which run a half size small, these are more true to size (I ordered both sizes, the smaller works better), especially since one would wear a lighter weight sock with these than with hikers.

Knowing that my feet do go up a half-size when I pound the asphalt or trail, I ordered a 7 when normally I wear a 6 1/2. Thank you for a great product!!
