Great fit right out of the box and no need to break-in. Perfect for my feet and my needs!
Awesome, hike ready out of the box! By Trail Gal from Grand Canyon, USA on 03/05/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker, Trail Jogger Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes are awesome with no break in period! I took a 6 hour hike yesterday and summited this great mountain in my backyard, no blisters. Great traction on the downhill loose rock, great in the snow on the top. They hug the heel, so no slipping. AND they are stylish! I'll wear these out for beers on the town! I have wide, flat feet, and not only do these have great support, but they make my feet look thin, which can be hard to do! One thing: if you are looking for ankle support, these don't have it, not one bit.
These are my favorite shoes! By Mutt Mom from North Carolina on 02/26/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Everyday, Grass, Paved Trails Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker, Workout regularly Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use my Finns for dogwalks and light hiking. I haven't taken them anywhere with really uneven or rocky terrain. This is my second pair - I wore the first almost every day for a year (all 4 seasons) until the soles were worn down and the material inside the heels rubbed away! I had 8's the first time and had to order 8.5's this time since the 8's were way too snug - I guess it's the 2008 design vs. the 2007 design? Anyway, these don't fit as well as my first pair, but they are still my go-to shoes for everything other than running and rocky hiking.
By ALYSWALKER from LAWTON, OK on 02/24/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Grass, Mixed Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: HAD TO RETURN FIRST PAIR AS SIZE WAS NOT RIGHT. ORDERED HALF SIZE BIGGER AND THEY WERE JUST FINE. HAVEN'T HAD A CHANCE TO DO ANY BIG HIKES WITH THEM YET.
Nice shoes but too narrow! By Firebird from Los Angeles, CA on 02/23/2009 Pros: Breathable, Great Traction, Light weight, Stylish comfy Cons: Hot, Lace too short, Lace too thin, No arch support, Not Comfortable, Not flexible, Not Water Resistant, Toe box too narrow Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I like this shoes - light weight, good traction, nice color and design. The negative aspects are: the toe box too narrow and small; also the shoe lace is so thin and short. The shoe sole also very stiff. I am thinking about returning it because it is too narrow in the front.

By teleskimama from durango, co on 02/20/2009 Pros: Breathable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Mixed Terrain, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Skier hiker climber Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These look like nice shoes, however i also had a problem with my heel slipping out. Maybe I got a defective pair as very few people have said this. I have normal width foot, not super narrow, so I'm not sure why this is happening. I also do not care for how stiff they are (I prefer a more flexible shoe where you can feel the ground). I will have to return them.
By Judy - chick with pick from Montrose, CO on 02/18/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Everyday, Grass, Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: For sure buy this shoe one half size larger. Great look and feel.
By Bunion sufferer from Alexandria, VA on 02/17/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction, Stabilizes Foot Cons: Not Comfortable, Not flexible Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes look great and provide the forefoot stiffness I was seeking to counteract a bunion problem. The forefoot area feels fine, but my heel comes out of the shoe slightly. I was tempted to keep the shoes because I have such problems finding shoes that accommodate my various needs (removable insole to accommodate orthotics, sufficient stiffness for the bunion, good heel and midsole support to combat plantar fasciitis), but I'm afraid I'll need to return them. When I showed the shoes to my podiatrist, she explained that they were actually TOO stiff, and that my heel came out of the shoe because there wasn't enough flex. I also have a narrow heel, however, which may be part of the problem as well. So, these shoes may fit women with a more average or wider heel than I have.
