Comments:
I've used Avias before, and found them to be comfortable right out of the box; this shoe is no exception. Although I was a little hesitant because of the attention-grabbing color, the reviews (especially from most of the runners) convinced me to give these a try--and I'm glad I did! These Avias are springy, light, breathable, and make you just want to go for a run the moment you put them on. A few people were unhappy with the snug heel, but for me at least, this soft, form-hugging heel design is a big plus--it keeps the shoe securely on your foot like a cushioned glove, regardless of the terrain you're on. My foot is a classic size 7, and the 7 that I received is just right--probably a little more snug than most 7's I've bought in the past, but in the case of this shoe, it's not a problem. The material is soft and has enough give to offer comfort and resiliency. And yes, the color is growing on me.

Ok running shoe
By bubu from Honolulu, HI on 07/30/2008
Pros:
Breathable, Lightweight
Best Uses:
Track
Describe Yourself:
Competitive Athlete
Sizing:
Feels true to size
Width:
Feels too wide
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I primarily run on pavement on hilly terrain. This shoe is lightweight and breathable but doesn't offer the arch support or shock absorption that I need in a running shoe. This is likely ok for a track or gym.

Bottom Line:

Comments:
I have tramped around a swim meet for 12 hours on wet floors, carrying a 35 pound toddler part of the time, worked 12 hour shifts at a busy vet clinic where I am on my feet ALL the time and worked out in these. They hold up well and have a lot of cushion for an inexpensive shoe. And good traction on wet surfaces and good traction/support in my country conditions...uneven surfaces, gravel roads, trails in the woods.

Comments:
I'm an overweight college student who works out in the fym on the ellipitcao and treadmill every other day in the summer and everyday once school starts. Because of that I need shoes that are both affordable but have have great quality. I love these shoes, they provide so much more that that. For the workouts I do, they are amazing, provide awesome support (I have broken both of my ankles int he past playing from playing soccer and football with guy frends) and they make my workouts feel al ittle easier. I will continue to buy these shoes as they wear out until they are no longer avaliable, which will be a sad day. I really like the color as well, I dont think it is a drawback, and I had already purchase clothing, that to my surprise matched the shoes! Amazing...

I really like these shoes. I've found Avia shoes are comfortable right out of the box. I would highly recommend these shoes. Even though I don't run any longer I still purchase running shoes for the cushioning. Solid, comfortable and worth every penny!
