However, it was STILL too big. They didn't have in stock the half-size smaller size so had to send it back for a refund. But when I was testing the shoes out walking around the house a lot, the shoe seemed great... looked good, solid construction, comfortable, lightweight. I was really disappointed that it didn't fit because I think I would have loved this shoe.

I prefer medium-weight socks with a reinforced heel with these shoes.

I took the advice of the product information and ordered half a size smaller. The fit is good. I am often on dirt trails and the tan color does pick up dirt.
