And, fits wells. Cut a bit high in the back so it rubs my ankle bone, but otherwise very nice.

By IronchefOklahoma from Oklahoma City, OK on 09/25/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction Best Uses: Grass, Mixed Terrain, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Pros: Loud color. You know if you're the kind of person who likes their shoes this bright. Lacing system very, very smooth.
Cons: Little cushioning. This isn't really a problem as long as you realize these really are trail runners, not just ruggedized sneakers.
Another great (and quirky) buy from Asolo
WELL BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS By Al Bundy Syndrome from Alpharetta, Georgia on 09/15/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Everyday, Mixed Terrain, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker, Trail Jogger Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: They fit accurately and felt great right out of the box. I ran 3 miles on a dirt, rock and root infested trail the first day with no issues whatsoever. No break in period required. For the money I can not imagine a better shoe. Buy yourself a pair if the bright colors do not bother you.
Great shoe for light hiking By Scottl from Hot Springs, AR on 09/14/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Grass, Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails Describe Yourself: Gym Rat Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Except for high sides that rub against the ankle a bit, shoe is very comfortable and supportive. The mesh helps keep feet cool and unlike other mesh shoes, these are built with good support to keep feet from moving around inside the shoe.
By Fred from Atlanta on 09/07/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Dries Quickly, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Everyday, Mixed Terrain Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: great for mixed-use days
Asolo Freerider trail shoe By Stony the trail guy from Washington, Mi on 07/26/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Dries Quickly, Durable, Great Traction, Stabilizes Foot Describe Yourself: Trail Jogger Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: great shoe at a very fair price
By the outdoor guy from Sandy, OR on 06/29/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Great Traction Cons: Not Comfortable, Not Water Resistant Best Uses: Grass, Mixed Terrain, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Have always loved the durability of the Asolo brand, but the footbed design leaves a bit to be desired. Great traction, good style, just lacks long term comfort. I have planter fasciitis and that dictates which kind of shoes I can wear. Only Keen shoes are designed well enough that I don't have to wear my custom orthotics in them. These shoes are no exception to the rule; if I wear them without my orthotics I hurt. Great shoes, but not for those of us with picky feet!
