By toniwan from ohio on 10/13/2009 Cons: Not Comfortable, Not flexible, Poor Cushioning Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: needed light weight shoes for hiking in tropical weather
these are really cute .... but
poor foot bed.
bought a whole size smaller, still too loose on my foot
stiff
had to try them with insoles on the treadmill, my feet were totally not happy with them. returned them, guess i'll stick with Lowa
By laughrob from santa fe, nm on 08/24/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Grass, Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have toe issue, had surgery on top of metatarsal joint. These shoes feel great, have room, are stiff enough so toe doesn't bend too much and can't get jammed if I kick a root or a rock.
By jinkyjoy from kingsport, TN on 08/20/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Grass, Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker, Trail Jogger Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: very pretty shoe but just flops on my foot; loose all way round. disappointed..will send back
Great looking but run very large By Orange County Kris from Orange County, NY on 08/15/2009 Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I followed the advice to order a smaller size but they were still too big. It's a shame because they were adorable and seemed to be supportive and made very well.
By Stones2Cut from Seattle, WA on 08/04/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In Cons: Overly roomy at midfoot Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought these along with the Montrail D7s in preparation for two weeks trekking in Switzerland and the Pyrenees. Found the shoes to be overly roomy in the midfoot (I have a low volume - i.e., low arch - foot) and did not care for the taper of the toe on my 45 y/o bunioned feet. Tread and support seemed very good, just not right shoe for me. Kept the D7s
By Ranger from Cumberland Plateau on 05/22/2009 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Everyday, Mixed Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased these for my wife to replace worn out Solomon and New Balance shoes. The initial fit and comfort seems to be better than the other two brands, but she is not used to the stiff, boot - like soles in Asolo shoes. I think she will end up prefering these over the long haul. I have a pair of Typhoons with the same sole and I think they are great.
By ridgway runner from Ridgway, CO on 05/21/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Muddy Conditions, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Remember that they run large. Order a size smaller!! Cute orange color, comfortable!!!
By luvdesummer from colorado springs on 04/30/2009 Pros: Durable, Great Traction Best Uses: Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear a size 9 shoe, but after reading the reviews, I ordered a size 8 1/2. They were way too big do I sent them back and got a size 8. These are also too big. I put in sport insoles and wore heavy hiking socks, but I still got a blister becasue they rubbed up and down on my heels. Probably a 7 1/2 would have fit better. These shoes are also very wide and I wear medium width. Because of the poor sizing and wide width, I think they were sized for a man's feet. Be careful with sizing if you order them. I did get a prompt refund with the first pair I returned...just did not want to hassle returning the second pair.
Good value for moderate hiking. By Hikes with Dogs from Navajo County, Arizona on 04/29/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Everyday, Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker, Trail Jogger Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: For exercise, I walk/hike 3-4 miles every day over uneven, steep terrain. I love my Asolo hiking boots, but wanted something lighter, in a lower profile for every day. I love these shoes, and I am ordering another pair. It is true that they run a full size large, so order small!!
