Nice looking shoe, sturdy By roadrunner from Fairfax, VA on 04/16/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels full size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice looking shoe, feels good on, however I would call it a full size too large. Thick socks were not enough to make 1/2 size smaller fit. I'm exchanging mine for 1 full size smaller than I wear.
Unusual sizing in terms of width By Meg from Arizona on 04/01/2008 Pros: Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This shoe is an overall quality product.
The wide width is unusual, even on my wide feet.
They will work for me with heavier socks.
By groveranne from kalamazoo MI on 03/31/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels full size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Ihave large feet (11.5) and have a VERY tough time finding shoes that fit. I was excited to see these functional yet fun shoes (great colors!) in a size that I thought would work. They are really too big, but rarely do you find a shoe offered in half size larger than a 10. The recommendation was to order a half size larger, but I think a full size is more accurate. I like them and will have to wear them with thick sox.
By Ba from Baltimore, Md on 03/31/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: They were a bit stiff and uncomfortable at first.
I put a cushion pad in the bottoms and wear a thick sock and it's good. I love the color!

By Rradar from Indianapolis, IN on 03/19/2008 Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We're taking a 2-week vacation to Alaska & I needed a good sturdy walking / hiking shoe. A friend recommended this brand. I'm very pleased. I wear full size custom orthodics, and this is the first shoe that I have ever purchased that I did not need to remove the insole for my orthodics to fit. That is a real plus for me. Stability is also very important, and the Heli offers that as well.
By Jenny from Milwaukee on 03/12/2008 Pros: Durable, Good for high instep, Non-slip sole, Stable Cons: Not much arch support Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are my first impressions:
The red-purple color is growing on me, I ordered 9.5 it feels more like a 10. The shoe is very tall inside, great for a large instep, but has little arch support. I've added my superfeet insoles, and that's starting to feel better.
Looks really well made, ready for the March muck outside. I'm debating about ordering a smaller size...I think I'm happy!
