These shoes were sent back. After trying them on they seemed very stiff. I sent them back. Was afraid to walk in them.

Similar last to Asolo Transit
By WindWhisperVerified Reviewer from Cooperstown,NY on 01/13/2009
Pros:
Goretex
Cons:
Ankle bone rubbed the top, Poor arch support
Describe Yourself:
Walker
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I always look at the appearance of a shoe to see if the heel looks secure while my toes can spread. Maybe this brand would be like comfy Keene shoes--alas, No! My heel kept slipping out, while my toes rubbed against the sidewalls. I even tried a larger size with some orthotics but it didn't help. I think this would fit if you had a flat foot with wide straight heels to toes.

I really need some waterproof shoes for walking/hiking but I can't seem to find a pair that provide sufficient cushioning...more similar to a running shoe. These are going back too.

Comments:
These are a little heavier than my last trail shoes (same brand, nearly identical style). But they didn't need breaking in, and they're great for my morning jogs with the dog to the river and on the muddy ridgeline. My orthotic inserts fit nicely into them. The laces are loooooong.

Comments:
I love Asolo shoes. I'm still wearing my old ones for dry days, but they have finally become non-waterproof. Now, these new ones will fill their place for early morning walks through wet meadows with my dog and hiking in general. What makes them fit my foot better than most is that they are low enough under the ankle bone. I like low shoes, because most of my walking/hiking is not rigorous & does not need the support of higher boots. These are perfect for every use.

Comments:
These shoes accommodate my custom orthotics and are flexible to allow longer distances with ease. Lightweight and comfortable while supportive. I had been looking for a shoe between and light hiker and a tennis shoe and this was the one. I would recommend this shoe to others.
