They've been great from day one, no need to break them in, I've walked city streets & hiked moderately rugged trails so far and they are super comfortable!
By Trailrunner Girl from Spokane, WA on 06/14/2008 Pros: Durable, Great Traction, Stable Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Not nearly as comfortable as I was imagining! Great shoe for hiking, but I run strictly trails and not nearly enough cushioning/support. Great little shoe, just not for the rigor I put on a normal shoe running off-road.
By Ol' Runner from Crawford, CO on 05/21/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Trail running Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This shoe, in general, is great. Happy colors, not too flashy, excellent tread. However, my knees which have been running over 35 years really require more a more cushioned sole. Actually the heel felt good but the ball area felt thin. I didn't want to but I sent them back
By Sooz from Chicago, IL on 04/29/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love these shoes and am so happy I bought them. Not only do I love the look but they're super comfortable and supportive for my long walks around the big city or just for casual wear. I love how they're so light and not at all bulky. The only problem I have found is that I feel they run a tad small. I wish I would have ordered a half size bigger- but other than that the shoes are great! I definitely will look to purchase these shoes again and again!
I have been wearing them since they came By Lucky Vermont Girl from Fayston, VT on 04/26/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday, Playing Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels full size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are great! I swore that I would wait until mud season was over to not get them dirty, but now I wear them everyday. They are not water proof, but I did not expect them to be. THey are really comfy, and make my size ten feet look smaller! I followed the Euro sizes instead of US sizes and they fit perfectly (I am a size ten, but ordered a 9 because my Dansko size is 41). They feel a little stiff at first, but molded nicely to my feet. They are light weight and breathable. GREAT DEAL!!

They look and feel great. Never wore Scarpa before but now I am a huge fan.
