By Not YourRealName from Wyoming on 10/20/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Cons: Not especially breathable, Not Water Resistant, Slow to dry Best Uses: Everyday, Grass, Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker, Trail Jogger Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Midsole is a nice balance of stiff/protective and flexy running-shoe softness. Although these are not very breathable, they are certainly NOT water/snow resistant, so hiking at altitude in the spring is a no go. Scotchgard helps. Otherwise I am happy with fit function traction etc. I wear these a lot in dirt and pavement and they are holding up nicely.
By Loyal STP Customer from S. Korea on 08/27/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction Best Uses: Mixed Terrain, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm new to hiking (& haven't tried trail running), thus I was unfamiliar with the La Sportiva brand. When researching trail shoes, I noticed the narrow width comments and I had to try them. They are in fact narrower than marked and just right for me. They are probably a little shorted than marked, but I paired them with Thorlos Ultra Light Hikers and tested both on a 2-1/2 walk. A little snug, but they will work well for me. No more side-to-side slippage from shoes too wide.
By BR from Upland,CA on 05/22/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Mixed Terrain, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Good hiking shoes stiff still breaking them in good for narrow foot
By Anonymous Climber from Chicago, IL on 04/21/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Dries Quickly, Great Traction Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have narrow feet and find La Sportiva's fit very accurate. It is true that they run small. I order a half size larger.
The approach shoe rubber is sticky - which I like, but do not expect the soles to last as long as higher density materials.
By LJ from St. Louis on 03/24/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Durable, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Everyday, Grass, Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Love the way this shoe looks. It's comfortable but needs a little bit of breaking in because it runs a bit narrow.
By Basket-case from NC on 01/17/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Dries Quickly, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Everyday, Mixed Terrain, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I needed some good shoes for Disc Golf, these give me the traction I needed off the tee and walking in search of my disc which is not always in the fairway. I have a narrow foot and have always had a hard time finding shoes that fit these are great although you may want to get a half to a full size larger I normally wear a 9.5 and these are 10.5 and they fit great

By J from Atl on 11/26/2008 Pros: Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Everyday, Mixed Terrain, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Gym Rat, Trail Jogger Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: order a half size larger than other running shoes(such as brooks, new balance, etc). I use these as approach shoes with up to 40lbs and they work great.
By zen master from northridge, ca on 07/07/2008 Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: oozzes down slab, but could friction free solo on slabs where other competent slab climbers needed climbing shoes. Light, cushy step saves my knees.
This brand seems to be pretty narrow generally
