By The Girl from Upstate NY from Cazenovia, NY on 01/22/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Dries Quickly, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, At The Gym, Everyday, Grass, Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain, Snow Describe Yourself: Trail Jogger Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I first purchased a pair just about a year ago. The shoe fits great and is comfortable. They've held up to running on trails traversing swamp, cow pastures, pavement, mud, and snow and ice. I've even worn them to the office; which is a big statement for a girl who dislikes the daily wear of sneakers.

Darn good shoe for my first trail buy By Trail lover from Denver, Co on 08/05/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have never bought a trail shoe before and have spent the past few years running in my road shoe on the trails. Researched shoes and came across the La Sportiva Pikes shoe, bought it and have loved running in it the past few weeks. Was stiff the first few runs but she is perfect now. Have taken her to local trails and to Pikes Peak to train for the ascent. Great shoe!!
Attractive, run small on me By Kona from Tucson, AZ on 07/28/2008 Pros: Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Stiff Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Shoes look great, but I usually wear a 9-9.5 and with these 9.5, my large toe presses against the tip when I walk. Unfortunately, I need to return these.

By The Lady Who Runs from Durango, CO on 07/15/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This shoe is a little too stiff fore and aft (not enough flex where my toes hinge) to be comfortable for me for running, but I am lightweight and like my running shoes pretty flexy. They are very comfortable and supportive for hiking. They are stiff enough that I can do talus and scree with no problem and the soles have excellent traction in loose or slippery conditions.
By froggirltx from Arizona on 06/02/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Cons: Could use more padding Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I generally like these shoes. Traction is great. They could use some more padding on the ball of the foot. This is not a problem except that I often transition from trail to highway; I need more padding on highway.
