By climber girl from Montana on 05/11/2008 Pros: Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Cons: Very little arch support Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a good, aggressive trail running shoe, but as a flat-footer I find it somewhat lacking in arch support or any type of foot support. I'm going to invest in slip-in supports.
By the girl from upstate from Erieville, NY on 04/15/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've been hunting for a trail running shoe for some time, and finally decided on this pair. They broke in great, and I've no complaints as of yet. I run on hiking trails, through cow pastures, and swamps and the shoes have held up. I did feel the swamp, but my foot didn't feel wet, and my sock was dry when I took the shoe off. I'm impressed with the buy so far!
By Bibbi from Tuscon, AZ on 03/18/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Stable Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Hiking around Tucson is very rocky and rough. So far these shoes have held up well. Not very soft, so not good for general wear or if you need a soft heel.
By Trail Lady from Missoula MT on 03/17/2008 Cons: Hard to tightenloosen Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday, Trail running Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a really comfortable shoe and great for long trail runs. The shoe has good padding and feels very stable even after three hours of running. The only con is that it is really hard to tighten and loosen the laces which is fairly annoying and time consuming on the trail. Overall this is a fantastic trail shoe that can withstand serious abuse is gets great traction on everything from loose dirt to snow. The only trail shoe that I have found that compares to this one in quality is the La Sportiva Crossroad.
By Andrea from Roanoke, VA on 03/14/2008 Pros: Durable, Great Traction, Nice toe protection, Stable Best Uses: Backcountry, Rocky trails, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my first pair of LaSportiva's and I like the motion control it provides for my "weak ankles". The sole seems to be designed for rolling over the rocks and branches with less sliding of other trail running shoes I have worn. The toe box could be a tad wider at the 5th toe. The lacing system seems to lock in place and not loosen during long distance runs.

Comfortable with great support By CWS from Hampden, MA on 02/09/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Prevents pronation, Stable, Very supportive Cons: More cushion for running Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a very supportive comfortable shoe. This shoe is excellent for pronation prevention. I wear them everyday and found that my feet, knees, hips and spine are much happier. I gave up my dress shoes for work and now wear these...with compliments. I love these for long days, hiking and long walks. I use these shoes for short trail runs.
