By Hiker from Philadelphia, PA on 01/03/2009 Pros: Durable, Great Traction, Stabilizes Foot Cons: Poor Cushioning, Too short Best Uses: Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker, Trail Jogger Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I saw this shoe and for the price and other reviews I bought them. well when I frist got them they felt too short(8) and I am always a size 8 in sneakers, well they were too short. My toes hurt. But they look very nice. I gave them to my sister and she loves them.
By Hiker chick from Cambridge, MA on 12/20/2008 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are interesting shoes. The purple/ yellow combo is very fashion-forward. The tongue style is wider and looks more like a "van" or skater shoe. Unlike a van, the tongue is not highly cushioned and might rub on the sides. The forefoot is very flexible, but consequently the sole is not going to offer much added stability on rocks. The toe cap is hardened to protect against stubbing though. The sole rubber is very sticky and should have great traction. I returned these because there isn't enough cushioning and arch support for street or gym wear, and the lack of stability and stiffening concerned me for a trail shoe (on the White Mountain rocky trails). These might suit someone's purposes, just not mine. I still almost kept them just because they're cute.

By Julia from Barrington, Rhode Island on 06/04/2008 Pros: Colorful, Comfortable, Durable, Fun, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Best Uses: Around town, Everyday, Short distance runs Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these shoes to use as just another pair of casual sneaks for running around to school, the grocery store or whatever. They are so extremely comfortable. I have worn them on shorter runs(nothing more than five miles)but not too often. I haven't used them for hiking yet, and I don't know if I actually will as they are very lightweight and might not be enough support for the longer hikes I like to go on.
Comfortable and light for soft trails By Ali from NY on 05/09/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Lightweight, Non-slip sole, Stable Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These trail shoes are good very light and comfortable. I was looking for something different and bought the purple and yellow ones. I don't think they offer enough support for jogging over rocks or other hard uneven surfaces, but they're great for walking and biking, and short distance jogging, the soles have good traction.
