I ordered 1/2 size bigger and it is a perfect fit. The sole delaminated at the toe after just a few days. I glued had to glue it back on.

Vasque Vector Waterproof Gore Tex
By Chi chi from South Florida on 07/12/2008
Best Uses:
Everyday
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Because of multiple ankle sprains and large feet, I look for shoes with solid support to prevent ankle pain. These shoes seemed like they could be used for street wear and/or recreational speed walking, treadmill, etc. But they are not supportive enough for even occasional street wear. I am returning them.

I am very pleased with this shoe. The original order was for a size eight which was too small. I exchanged them for an 8 1/2 and am very pleased with the boot. It provides a very nice balance between weight and support.

As Tiger from Massachusetts said, the tread of the shoe is separating from the top material. And the shoes have been worn for just two weeks. I think, if possible, the manufacturing date of the shoes is labeled on the web.

Love 'em!
By TerrapinBradVerified Reviewer from Martinsville, IN on 06/02/2008
Pros:
Comfortable, Durable, Great looks, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable, Water Resistant
Best Uses:
Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Sizing:
Feels half size too big
Width:

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
These shoes are excellent. I can move confidently as they have the stability of a hiking boot and are light like an athletic shoe. The laces cross over many times, wrapping snugly around the foot and fitting securely. I exchanged the 9's I usually wear for 8&1/2's, and I think they MAY still be a BIT long, but the width is perfect as is the support and protection they provide.. Either way, I would qualify them as super, and the 'price is right'...BOB!!

Bottom Line:

Comments:
this is a one of a kind shoe. I've had different model years of the GTX, and this one's the best yet. It's designed like a running shoe, but with the ankle support and Gore Tex of a boot. Probably around 18 ounces per shoe, which is pretty light considering. you could use it for trail runs if necessary, moderate hiking or just urban street use. I bought 3 pairs.
