I took this on a trip to Southern Africa and wore almost every day--took the place of athletic shoes and hiking boots. Good traction and support. Were lightweight, comfortable and easy to take off. They were fine with orthodics.
Just bought another pair for a gift.
By Morning Moose from Palmdale, CA on 09/19/2009 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have used my Symbios on hikes with bulky socks to make the fit better. I especially like the absence of seams and the ease of tightening up or loosening with the lace system. I'm going to add my dirty girl gators with the Symbios for the dirty trails here in the desert.
