These shoes are very comfortable and stable. I am looking forward to giving them a real workout in Israel.
Comfortable but a bit unattractive By Looking for stylish comfort from South Korea on 04/03/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable, Water Resistant Cons: Cheap-looking fabric, Cheaply made, Soft toe guard, Toe guard not protective Best Uses: Casual office shoes, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I like these shoes but was a bit disappointed in the way they look. They are a bit "ugly" and do look much better in the picture than up-close. However, they are quite comfortable. The heel has good support, but the sole under the toes feels a bit thin. The toe guard is not very thick - I wouldn't wear these shoes in rocky terrain where I might accidentally stub my toe on a big rock. The construction (except for the bottom) of the shoes looks a bit cheap.

By Avid Sports Fan from Grand Rapids, MI on 02/08/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable, Water Resistant Cons: Slipping off of my foot Best Uses: Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought the shoes for hiking and also to use during snowy weather. I've only had it for a few days, but it feels great! I ordered 1/2 size smaller (ordered 7.5 though I usually wear 8) because of the reviews I've read and it's perfect! I've used it during severe winter weather in Michigan and my feet stayed warm and dry. Great traction. I've never felt like I would slide on any ice unlike the most recent winter boots I bought that suprisingly got soaked. I think I just need to tighten the strings in order to make sure it doesn't slide off my feet.
Comfortable and attractive shoes! By Susie from Los Angeles, CA on 01/22/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes look really nice in person, they are smooth and the color is a dark beigey brown with a touch of olive green - they definitely look nice enough to wear for more than just exercise! I bought these shoes to wear for light hiking and running around town. They breathe well.
I have medium narrow feet and found that these shoes do run 1/2 size too large as other reviewers mentioned - I had to exchange them for 1/2 size smaller (8) than I usually wear (8.5) and these fit perfectly in the smaller size. This shoe's sizing is the exact same as Adidas shoe sizing (even the style of the inside size labels are the same) - this ladie's size 8 is a european size 40 (my correct size), as marked on the label, which is the same for Adidas shoes, which also I wear a 1/2 size smaller for, consistently.
I found these extremely comfortable to wear all day for errands and would recommend them to others.
By Outdoors in Maine from See nickname on 01/18/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable, Terrific stability, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday, Icy / snow stable, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: In Maine, I need a good cold weather exercise shoe, and this truly fits the bill. Terrific stability, terrific traction for snow/icy surfaces. Very lightweight with good flexion. Take a thick sock, as a bit roomy in width. I hope the tie strings hold up, but once I got the gist they operate like a dream. Another slight drawback, they could use a little more arch support, but I may buy an insole to remedy that.
By Looking for adventure Katie from San Diego,CA on 01/10/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The way the shoes tie was a little challenging for me at first, but now I get it. They fit well, but they feel like I need to wear thick socks, because they could be snugger.
By hort from denver on 12/17/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Water Resistant Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very comfortable and fast to put on and take off.
Very Versatile and Comfortable By Must love dogs from All over N.America on 12/12/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a repeat purchase. I have worn my original pair almost daily for the past year.
The salomon lacing cinch system keeps my foot firmly in place, the base provides excellent stability, the shell is breathable enough for hot weather and resistant enough for cooler weather.
They are so comfortable that I tend to wear them
for all moderate to more demanding activities:
daily dog hikes, light snow, mud, beach trekking, and more intense terrain and activities, I've put many miles into them during intense special operations field training.
If I could only have one pair of shoes, these would be them.
