By an avid hiker from Harrisonburg VA on 04/13/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Dries Quickly, Shock-Absorbent Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Mixed Terrain, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Backpacking, Recreational Walker/Hiker, Rock climbing Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Was looking for a light weight hiking shoe. One that would allow my sweaty feet to breathe. I have a problem with blisters. When I first tried these shoes on I thought they might possibly be too wide (which would be weird for me because I have a wide foot) but went for a medium hike (6 miles) that weekend and they were perfect. I think the wideness I felt was because they are not as stiff as my leather Salomon hiking boots (which tend to give me blisters when hiking up hill a lot). These shoes did not need a "breaking in" period for me. They were comfortable from the get go.
By KD from Santa Barbara, CA on 04/11/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Dries Quickly, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Everyday, Grass, Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Right from the box to the trail, it feels like walking on a cloud. I was a little worried that with so much soft feeling they might not give enough support, but they were great on the hike. They ride a little high on the ankle, but it is not uncomfortable. I could wear these all day.

I did not have to break them in they were comfortable the first time I wore them.

My feet get sore and tired if I'm standing for to long though.
That is really my only complaint.
awesome hiking and everyday shoes By mlc from Baltimore, MD on 04/05/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Dries Quickly, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot, Very Comfortable Best Uses: Everyday, Grass, Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I go hiking with my dog regularly. Mostly to to the state park, trails up the hill, muddy at times. These shoes give me a lot of stability, comfort and traction. I love them!
However, I wear size 7 in regular shoes, and if I get any other athletic shoes at the department stores, I would wear 37.5 or 7, well these I had to exchange twice, each time because they were too big. Finally I am happy with size 6 listed for these shoes, but I am getting another pair in size 5.5 for the summer since I will wear thin socks. Overall great trail and terrain shoes. I would definetely recommend to friend
unbelievably light and comfy! By cindy from Bay Area, CA on 04/03/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Everyday, Grass, Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm so pleased with this shoes that I immediately want to order a 2nd pair! It is so light yet very versatile. I feel like I could wear it everywhere. And I like the fast-lacing system, so convenient!
I'm taking one star off because of two reasons:
1. It runs a bit large, I'm usually a size 7, but this time I have to exchange for size 6.5 - then it fits me perfectly.
2. It is not as warm as leather shoes. So if I wear it on a daily basis, then my feet become cold after a couple of hours' sitting in office. But it keeps my feet warm enough when I go hiking.
By KM from East Lansing, MI on 04/02/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Everyday, Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought these for my two boys, because my oldest wears a wide shoe and I couldn't find a boys wide in a hiking boot that wasn't soooo expensive and was waterproof. He wears a 5 1/2 boys so I bought him a 7 women's and it fit great. Hopefully, it will last through the year. I took a chance and bought a pair for my 7 year old too. He wears a size three boys, so I bought a size 5 women's. This is a the way to go! The only issue I had was that the lace contraption was broken on one shoe, so I had to replace that pair of shoes with regular laces.
By sally wally from boston,ma on 04/01/2009 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use these shoes at work since I'm on my feet all day and they are comfortable. The only downside is that my feet are narrow and I can't seem to get the adjustments tight enough and still comfortable at the same time.
By Snowie from Watertown, NY on 03/30/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Dries Quickly, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Describe Yourself: Rarely Workout, Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very long looking shoe, but still fits well. Sizing is accurate. Green color is yucky (I call it Bile Green), but it's still a great buy. Quality is very good and laces are great.
