By puddinhead murphy from Boone, NC on 07/13/2008 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Sturdy/Durable Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Overall a good shoe. Not a whole lot of cushion in the soles so I wouldn't use them when carrying additional weight or on rough trails. Good for dayhiking.

By Arborist from Missoula,MT on 06/23/2008 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable Best Uses: Day Hiking, Everyday, Light Loads Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer, Environmentalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use this shoe for work. I am an Arborist for the city of Missoula ,MT. I hike on very uneven terrain, climb trees, drag brush, ect... The shoes are pretty good for these activities. They are not H2O proof but I do not need that anyway. They are easy to break-in and form to my foot well. I paid [$] for the shoes, for that price they are great at full price I would not get these I would find something on sail instead but[$] is a great price.

Good shoe at a good price !! By Steve from Santa Fe, NM on 05/13/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Have not had a chance to wear very much. So far they are comfortrable but a little wide - need to wear a heavier sock.
Good brand for a good price By Fastlane from Oregon on 03/22/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: So far Asolo has been true to size from style to style, which helps eliminate the guessing when ordering online. I have a similar style in the same size with Gore-Tex for wet weather.
By Jason the Machinist from Sun Valley Idaho on 03/12/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The Shoe is a HARD shoe. The sole is literally a hard plastic slab. They can be worn for a few hours but then a different pair of shoes MUST bu put on. Very dissapointing since Asolo brand has always been so fabulous in the past.
Great light weight shoe on trail/street By kyerdr from Waterford, CT on 02/12/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Comments: Nice light day hiking shoes or just shoes for the street. These shoes have very good support considering the thickness of the sole. The only downside to these shoes is they aren't waterproof, if they were they would get a 5 star rating.
Don't be mislead by looks- tough shoe By Eugene the hiker from Stevens Point, WI on 01/12/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Comments: Awesome pair of light hikers. Spent 7 weeks in summer in Europe up and down the Polish and Slovenian mountains. (light pack and backpack, no mountaineering) and they were light, incredibly comfortable and durable. I have narrow feet and these fit perfect, no wiggle room to de-stabilize feet. Water and stain - shedding- practically self-cleaning. If ankle stability is not a concern, then these are the shoes for summer hiking or everyday heavy walking and backpacking.
