nice shoes but get a larger size By climb4fun from san diego,ca on 07/26/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: these shoes have good grip. i usually wear a size ten for hiking, day-2-day and cleats. bought these shoes in a size 11, they felt great even after 45 minutes around the house, but after 15 minutes of climbing they were to small. should have gotten at least 1.5 or 2 sizes larger than normal.
A good first agressive shoe By abc from Boston on 07/24/2008 Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Don't expect them to stretch at all. I tried getting 1/2 size smaller than my ascents and I couldn't get my feet into them.
By CharCharBinks from Sandy, Utah on 06/05/2008 Pros: Good Traction, Well Ventilated Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Absolutely Love Them!! not sized like regular climbing shoes. Get them larger than you would normal climbing shoes
By Denver Dylan from Denver, CO on 06/04/2008 Pros: Can stand on a centimeter, Durable Sole, Simple to Use, Well Ventilated Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Get em small. I normally wear a 11.5-12. I got an 11 and theyre perfect for climbing. These shoes are so sick.
By Herman from Tucson, AZ on 06/02/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I climb a couple times/week outdoors. I went through a pair of Montrail's in 10 climbs. The 5.10's seem much more durable and better made, plus the rubber is super-sticky. See the other comments and get them ~1 size too large for your foot. I wear a 9.5 street shoe, and the 10 is a tight fit.
Strongly recommended.
By pookie from Colorado Springs on 06/02/2008 Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes are great, they edge, smear and heel hook nicely.
The only kicker in my mind is that the heel cup is really aggressive and kinda digs into my lower achilles tendon. I'm getting used to it, but it is worth mentioning.
By kake from Valdez, AK on 05/13/2008 Pros: Durable Sole, Great edging soles Cons: Way smaller then expected Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The size chart is wrong for these shoes. I finally fit 2 sizes larger than expected. I haven't climbed in them yet, but I like the toe- seems like it is going to be great for edging. The heel is strange, but again I think it is going to be good for heel hooks. I climb a lot- seriously, buy a much larger size than you think.
Listen to everyone else before you order By kingt99 from Fort Lauderdale, FL on 05/11/2008 Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm in the gym 3+ times a week. these shoes are at least 1 1/2 sizes too small. I had to return an 11 for a 12 and could have gone another 1/2 size. After the third session my feet have gotten used to these, they are snug.
By Kev from Raleigh, NC on 05/01/2008 Pros: Durable Sole, Quality seemed decent. Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes are really weird I tried on a Pair of 5-10's at a different retailer before I purchased these. They were a diffent model but the same brand so I figured the sizes would be similar. I was way off. They were still a full size too small. I wear a size 10 normally and in these I needed like a 12.5. I tried another shoe the coyote by 5/10 a 11.5 fit fine. I don't really know what's up with climbing shoe sizes, all I can suggest is you have to try the model and brand on before buying them.
By d-dog from Yosemite, CA on 04/28/2008 Pros: Durable Sole, Just enough power Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The shoe sizes more like a street shoe when compared to other shoes. however the shoe is still very percise. I wear a 10 street shoe and a 9.5 fits perfect. other brands i have to go down to about 8.5-9. The curved toe is a little funky but is well worth it for edging and power.
