Aggressive Treds, Nice Shoe By MattK1 from San Ramon, CA on 10/24/2009 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Mixed Terrain Describe Yourself: Outdoor Enthusiast Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very nice shoe. Aggressive looking and comfortable. Feels a bit wide, especially in the toe box (which is by design from what I understand). The underfoot cushioning is lacking, almost feels like there's no insole. I added one of those cheap foam insoles and that seemed to solve the problem. Overall, I'd recommend this for light hiking and kicking around.

By Finnicky Footwearer from Boise, ID on 04/18/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Cons: Hot, Not Comfortable Best Uses: Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: snug across the forefoot, even with the laces loosened all the way. Good stability and a roomy toebox. Overall a really nice shoe, but I think I need a half size up in the vented version.
Should have gotten a half size smaller By Trad from Whitefish, MT on 03/30/2009 Cons: Not Comfortable, Poor Cushioning Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I probably should have stuck with my normal size, but because there were so many reviews about these shoes being a half size small, I ordered a half size larger than normal.
They seem uncomfortable on paved walking paths, but hopefully will work out, using some cushioning insoles, on real trails for light duty.
By muddygreyhnd from Lynchburg, VA on 03/23/2009 Pros: Durable, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Everyday, Grass, Mixed Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Toebox squeeze was terrible @ rt. foot.
By Colorado Backpacker from Littleton, CO on 02/16/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Grass, Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Awesome fit! Love the shoe already, and I've only worn it twice. I can tell it's going to be a great trail shoe, as it felt great the first time out with my 18-month son on my back. Hardly needs breaking in, and it's snug on every inch of my foot. Only drawback is that one of the tongues slides to the side, but I'm hoping that this will cease after I've broken them in. Otherwise, no complaints about this great deal of a shoe!

Used them in mixed conditions with no slipping.
