The hook & loop patch on the inside is a neat little extra. However, in this instance, the case is way too small for an average sized GPS unit, specifically my Magellen. The case measures only 4 3/4 x 2 1/2 x 1 inches. Rather than go through the hassle and cost of returning this product I will hold onto it in case I find someone to give it to who has a small enough GPS.

Long rectangle shape leaves room (3x2") for a few extras (cloth, flash memory, etc.). Interior cradle works great, no shifting and easy to grab the camera. Just exactly what I needed, I was going to buy the camera-specific case, but they were sold out...I think I like this better than the square camera case model. No neck strap though.
