The strap has a black backing that helps with slipping but I think it looks kinda cheap. A magnetic button in addition to the zipper (which I rarely use) would be great.

The strap is wide making it comfortable on the shoulder although it has leather on just one side which looks cheap.

Access to the inside compartments is somewhat cumbersome (I wear the bag at the shortest strap length). Color is a bit washed-out. I kept it for an everyday use, but, overall, this bag is not on par with other Ellington handbags I had bought in the past.

It is a small bag, but I have no problem fitting a 5x3 filofax organizer, wallet, cellphone, and paperback book. I wish it had an outside pocket for easier access to keys and train pass, but teh bag works for me.

With the coupon from Sierra Trading Post, this bag was an incredible buy. The color is gorgeous, a tawny red, and the leather is very high quality. Since my mom doesn't need a huge bag, this is a perfect size but I could see where it may not be large enough for someone used to the current trend for huge purses. The styling is great, not too trendy, not to stodgy.
