By Doc from Claremont, CA on 04/30/2008 Pros: Easy to adjust, Good grips, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great, stable poles for hiking. Tried other trekking poles and these are the lightest of the bunch - almost forget you have them with you.
By Henri from Seattle,WA on 04/29/2008 Pros: Easy to adjust, Good grips, Lightweight, Strong Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Don't get me wrong, Theses are lightweight and look pretty solid.I have hear there locking mechanism isn't that good but I haven't had any problem with them yet. But considering the original price point I find that disappointing that they left out shock absorption. This feature is reserved for an even more expensive product.
By Tek from Colorado Springs, CO on 12/05/2007 Pros: Flexible, Good grips, Lightweight, Strong, With a good price too Cons: Collapses Too Easily Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very light and handy. My only problem with it is that it occasionally collapses ,as I don't like to tighten it too much, and when the poles are (well) unlocked it sometimes takes some time to 'catch' the locking system.
By Tom from NJ on 11/28/2007 Pros: Good grips, Lightweight, Strong Cons: Tough to adjust when cold Best Uses: Backpacking, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Super lightweight yet incredibly strong. Got these caught between rocks a few times with no incident where a regular aluminum pole would bend or snap. So light that you forget you even have them :) Have had them collapse once, but not totally. Also they're difficult to unlock when it's cold out, but that may be due to my cold hands also :) worth every penny!
