Well made, colorful dog pack By Dakota from MI on 03/30/2009 Pros: Easy to Put On, Fun, Good Quality Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Mixed Doberman breed w/slim build, the medium fits like a glove. Dog wears the pack w/o complaint and walks easily. Lots of room to hold bottled water, dog treats, etc for daily walks. Careful not to overload. We love it.
By Dog Walker 49 from St. Johns, MI on 03/29/2009 Pros: Cute, Easy to Put On, Fun, Good Quality Describe Yourself: Dog Trainer, Multiple Dog Owner Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My 55 lb. dog got used to this pack very fast and really looks forward to putting it on and going out to "work". The pack fits well and was easy to adjust. I have had no problems with durability, but I've only had it a few weeks.
By Diezel's Mom from Greenwich, CT on 03/29/2009 Pros: Cute, Easy to Put On, Fun, Good Quality, Washes Well Describe Yourself: Single Dog Owner Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've been using the pack for months to help wear out my fifteen month old boxer-pit bull mix. it is sturdy, but isn't very padded. i carry a small water bottle in each side (for balance) with a small folded handtowel for padding. i would prefer a pack with padded straps as this one does chafe -- but probably only because my dog has a very thin coat. overall, i am happy with it and have recommended it to others. By Lucy's mom from West Point, GA on 03/25/2009 Pros: Cute, Easy to Put On, Fun, Good Quality Describe Yourself: Single Dog Owner Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought the pack to use while hiking moderate trails with our Lab. A great way for her to carry her own water and snax. She doesn't mind wearing it, but it does have the tendency to slide to one side. Neither balancing the weight in each pouch or adjusting the strap seem to correct this problem. We frequently have to stop and pull it back to center. Other than that, we like it. The quality of the pack is very good.
By Tuck from Ft Wayne , IN on 03/22/2009 Describe Yourself: Multiple Dog Owner Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: makes the dogs work harder on their walks so they burn more energy so less destructive and tired out when they get home!
By tommyssally from Baltimore, MD on 03/18/2009 Pros: Cute, Easy to Put On Best Uses: Large Dogs, Outdoors, Travel Describe Yourself: Single Dog Owner Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This pack is very nice. I would recommend it to anyone and I would buy it again.
That being said, there are a couple things about it that don't rate #10. I have a 65lb German Shepherd/ Husky mix. I suspect he will grow but I got the medium size thinking it would adjust to fit. The pack is a great fit right now and I will still be able to make it bigger after he grows. So right now it is ajusted quite small and I have no idea what to do with the excess strap. I don't want to tuck it under causing discomfort and I can't just cut it since I will need to adjust later. Also, the size of the bags on the medium are just a little too small. I've got 1L collapsable water bottles for each side (by the way these are great..platypus bottles....the water doesn't slosh around and make my dog of balance). They fit but it would just be nice to be a bit more roomy.
This pack is great though! And my dog loves it.
By Dobber from Newark, NJ on 03/11/2009 Pros: Good Quality, Washes Well Cons: Causes Irritation, Restricts Movement Best Uses: Harsh Weather, Outdoors, Travel Describe Yourself: Multiple Dog Owner Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The only bad thing about it is that the straps loosen as the dogs move, which then causes the bag to sag and get out of position.
By dangc78 from Boston MA on 03/11/2009 Pros: Easy to Put On, Good Quality, Washes Well Best Uses: Hiking, Outdoors, Rescue work, Travel Describe Yourself: Multiple Dog Owner Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use this with a siberian husky. It has plenty of storage for the dogs needs, and is highly adjustable. Material, nylon webbing and zippers are all of high quality if you have a dog that might want to chew some of it, but by no means is it chew proof. Reflective striping makes your dog visible for night hikes, and adds a touch of safety.
Easy to use - good dog pack By Annie's Mom from NC on 03/11/2009 Pros: Cute, Easy to Put On, Fun, Good Quality Best Uses: Harsh Weather, Medium Dogs, Outdoors, Travel Describe Yourself: Single Dog Owner Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wanted some panniers for our dog so she could help out on our hikes. I wanted her to carry her water and treats, and that's about it. The product was very easy to adjust, actually required almost no adjusting (maybe because my dog was the perfect size for this pack.) It does have to be balanced on both sides or it will lean to one side. My one gripe is there is not a lot of room to put things, as the pockets are shallow, and not very wide. Maybe the manufacturer planned it that way so the dog would not be overloaded, but really the only thing I can fit in the pack is a 20 oz bottle (one on each side.) I could put some little things in there too, I guess. Overall a great deal and quality. Images shared by: Annie's MomAnnie's Pannies Tags: Picture of Product, Using Product
By asta from The World on 03/10/2009 Pros: Easy to Put On, Good Quality Cons: It lists to one side Best Uses: Large Dogs, Outdoors Describe Yourself: Single Dog Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a very well made pack with lots of great features. However - no matter how we arranged the load, or tightened the straps, it always listed. I don't know if it was sliding on her fur or what. I'll see how it does after she is shaved.
