By DogMom from Nothern CA on 07/13/2009 Pros: Dog Loves it, Easy to Put On, Fun, Good Quality, Washes Well Best Uses: Large Dogs, Outdoors, Service Dogs, Travel Describe Yourself: Dog Trainer, Multiple Dog Owner, Service Dog OwnerTrainer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have three giant breed dogs (st. bernards and newfoundland). They are all service dogs, but I have found that because they are not labs or goldens people often refuse entrance. Since I have started putting them in "uniform" I have not had any issues. These seem to be well made, durable and the dogs are not bothered by them. I wish the straps were padded (like a human backpack) to keep a less furry dog from chaffing, though I don't see it being a problem for us. These would also be great for those who need to tire their dog quicker, or want to have their dog schlep their stuff. My dogs love to wear their 'uniforms', espically weighted with items. Dogs love a job!
By Moose&Izzy from Indiana on 07/04/2009 Best Uses: Large Dogs, Outdoors Describe Yourself: Multiple Dog Owner Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Moose seems to like it. Definitely wears him out faster, which is a plus. Only complaint is that it slides to the side, but it didn't seem to bother the dog at all.
By Foxhunter from Wayne IL on 06/24/2009 Pros: Easy to Put On, Good Quality Best Uses: Large Dogs, Outdoors Describe Yourself: Multiple Dog Owner Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We have 3 foxhounds, 70 to 100 pounds, very deep chests. This fits all of them nicely. Use it mostly so the biggest can carry water bottles for long summer walks.
why didn't i buy this sooner....???? By Harley's Mom from Dover-Foxcroft, ME on 06/17/2009 Pros: Cute, Easy to Put On, Fun, Good Quality, Washes Well Best Uses: Large Dogs, Outdoors, Travel Describe Yourself: Single Dog Owner Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This pack is great for my 85lb GSP. He is so proud wearing it and so cute too! It holds plenty enough for a hike and then some. I am very happy with the pack and Harley is a Stud wearing it. Not sure why I waited so long to order it.
By BarbaraB from New York on 06/09/2009 Pros: Easy to Put On, Good Quality Best Uses: Indoors, Large Dogs, Outdoors, Travel Describe Yourself: Dog Trainer, Multiple Dog Owner Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm using these packs on two of my dogs. One is 100 lbs. and the other is 90lbs.(not quite full grown, yet) Fits both dogs very well. It will also adjust for a larger dog. I love that the weight is carried mainly over the shoulders and high up on the sides of the body. I've tried others that cause a 'sway back' on my dogs since they were set so far back, plus the bags were set so low that the packs would swing back and forth under their stomachs/between front and back legs. It had annoyed them and me.
This OllyDog Pack stays firmly in place while carrying all the water and dishes, etc. My dogs have no issues wearing them and are very happy being out for walks with their packs on.
I haven't washed it yet, but seems like it will clean up well.
By Erika from Baltimore, Maryland on 06/03/2009 Pros: Easy to Put On, Good Quality Best Uses: Large Dogs, Outdoors, Travel Describe Yourself: Multiple Dog Owner Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use it on my GSD Fantom to put him in a working mode. He likes chasing his tail and this helps stop this action. He evens wears it to his classes. It holds his water bottles, bowl.
By Mitwicz from New York on 05/29/2009 Pros: Easy to Put On, Good Quality Best Uses: Large Dogs, Outdoors Describe Yourself: Single Dog Owner Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have a Great Dane and I wanted a pack that would fit her large body but I didn't want anything too big or clunky. This pack is perfect for her water, food, and bowls. She doesn't mind wearing it at all. It stays on very well without irritating her I just have to keep the weight balanced.
By A Very Happy Dog-pack Back-packer from Gunnison CO on 05/18/2009 Pros: Easy to Put On, Good Quality Describe Yourself: Multiple Dog Owner Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This was great - My 85lb, 3 y.o Sammy needs more exercise than I can give him - this tires him out without hurting him, and slows him down to a pace my much older knees can deal with. It seems well designed overall and once the neck strap is where you want it, you just havet slip it over his head and deal with the chest trap.
OllyDog Pack is the best we have found. By Lab Mom from Florida on 05/11/2009 Pros: Easy to Put On, Good Quality Best Uses: Large Dogs, Outdoors Describe Yourself: Multiple Dog Owner Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We use this on day hikes in scrub lands in central Florida. The dogs carry their own water and supplies. Easy to put on and it does not slow our dogs down.
