By Reba the Stonedog Owner from small town Nebraska on 10/29/2009 Pros: Cute, Easily Adjusted, Easy to Put On, Fun, Good Quality, Washes Well Best Uses: Large Dogs, Outdoors, Travel Describe Yourself: Single Dog Owner Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This fit our year old Golden Retriever well. With a few adjustments on the load lifters it was a perfect fit.
The handle on the top helps with loading. We now use it when ever he has to travel. The pouches fit two gallon sized bags full of food. Once on, he's ready to roll and knows he gets to go romp!! Images shared by: Reba the Stonedog OwnerShow off . . . sheesh Tags: Using Product

Quality construction, perfect size By The fine China of Bunker Hill from Longview, WA on 09/26/2009 Pros: Easy to Put On, Good Quality Best Uses: Large Dogs, Travel Describe Yourself: Single Dog Owner Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The pack fits well. Durable. Recommended.
It is nice for the dog to carry some of the hiking/walking supplies like water dish, poo bags, water, and boots if you should approach a surface that could cut up a dogs pads. (I used to carry it all!) I also will pack convenient items for me like a hat or glasses so I do not have to removed my pack to just put something on quickly.
China is a Boxer/Hound mix from a local Humane Society and turned out be a great fit with our family. (see picture attached.)
I also use the pack to add 2-3 pounds to give her more exercise on a nightly walk. I notice she gets a more satisfied workout.
China also enjoys the extra attention by people when she wears the pack on a trail. She thinks she is pretty hot with it on and has a job to do.
The handle on top is comfortable to carry the pack when you load the car. It also comes in handy as luggage for the dog and she can carry her own luggage in the hotel if necessary.
Hints for fit. Tighten the straps at the chest for the pack to ride up by the shoulders and then tighten around the chest. I do tighten the straps snugly for less movement. I usually re-tighten the straps after awhile during the walk, especially if you see the pack sliding side to side. Make sure to load the pack evenly with weight on each side.
STP ROCKS with GREAT prices! Images shared by: The fine China of Bunker Hill
By BGN from Lincoln, IL on 09/21/2009 Pros: Cute, Easy to Put On, Good Quality Describe Yourself: Single Dog Owner Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Our dog is a hearder with no heard. She's an indoor dog & our trainers suggested to get this for her & put about 5 lbs of weight in it to help wear her out more on our walks. She doesn't seem to mind it & it's great to keep extra "clean up" bags, wet wipes, a water bottle, even a light weight rain poncho. I think she looks cute in it.
By Cinnamon's mom from Cincinnati, OH on 08/02/2009 Pros: Easy access to pockets, Easy to Put On, Good Quality, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Single Dog Owner Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this for my Golden mix Cinnamon (85lbs) on the recommendation of our trainer. Cinnamon didn't even flinch the first time I put it on and doesn't seem to mind wearing it. We haven't taken any really long walks with it on, but I think she will do fine.
The pockets are a good size for carrying books and easy to access with large zippers. As others have mentioned, make sure you balance the weight as the pack will shift to the side. The pack fits really well so I don't think this size would fit a larger dog.
By Dog walker from Newcastle, Wy on 07/22/2009 Pros: Easy to Put On, Good Quality Best Uses: Large Dogs, Outdoors Describe Yourself: Multiple Dog Owner Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use this for day hikes, so my dogs can pack their own water bottles. They were easy to put on and adjust. It took a while for my dogs to adjust to the brushing noise whrn going through the trees. Great product for the price.
By The Squirrel from ADK NY on 07/15/2009 Pros: Easy to Put On, Fun, Good Quality, Washes Well Cons: Needs more reflectivetape Best Uses: Harsh Weather, Large Dogs, Outdoors, Travel Describe Yourself: Single Dog Owner Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great product. One pouch on each side, which means you do not have to search different pocket while your dog is excited. Really easy to put on clip one around the neck like a collar then one clip around the torso, you don't have to contort the dog to get them into it. Can hold 3-5 days of pet food and water with treats and toys. Once on my Husky, he did not fuss or try and take it off. Images shared by: The SquirrelExcited to take it for a spin! By DogMom from Nothern CA on 07/13/2009 Pros: Dog Loves it, Easy to Put On, Fun, Good Quality, Washes Well Best Uses: Large Dogs, Outdoors, Service Dogs, Travel Describe Yourself: Dog Trainer, Multiple Dog Owner, Service Dog OwnerTrainer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have three giant breed dogs (st. bernards and newfoundland). They are all service dogs, but I have found that because they are not labs or goldens people often refuse entrance. Since I have started putting them in "uniform" I have not had any issues. These seem to be well made, durable and the dogs are not bothered by them. I wish the straps were padded (like a human backpack) to keep a less furry dog from chaffing, though I don't see it being a problem for us. These would also be great for those who need to tire their dog quicker, or want to have their dog schlep their stuff. My dogs love to wear their 'uniforms', espically weighted with items. Dogs love a job!
By Moose&Izzy from Indiana on 07/04/2009 Best Uses: Large Dogs, Outdoors Describe Yourself: Multiple Dog Owner Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Moose seems to like it. Definitely wears him out faster, which is a plus. Only complaint is that it slides to the side, but it didn't seem to bother the dog at all.
By Foxhunter from Wayne IL on 06/24/2009 Pros: Easy to Put On, Good Quality Best Uses: Large Dogs, Outdoors Describe Yourself: Multiple Dog Owner Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We have 3 foxhounds, 70 to 100 pounds, very deep chests. This fits all of them nicely. Use it mostly so the biggest can carry water bottles for long summer walks.
