They are soft and thick and the dogs love them. The only downside is that the dye job is not at all attractive, but the dogs don't seem to mind. I may have to get another one for the cat.

As it turns out, he hates it, so far. I think he thinks its another animal that I've brought into the house. The other cat, (non-floor sleeper) loves it though, and works his paws into it to make a little cat-nest before laying down to take a nap. So it worked for us! I sat on it a few times and found that it's so comfortable I want one for myself! The color is great, I got the darker color, and it seems to be very well-made. Great buy.
