The pelt is soft but a little coarser than a white sheepskin we have in our rocking chair. The color is good not to show dirt, but is sort of unnatural looking for a sheep. It looks more like a dog than a lamb, very brown. One cat adores it and lolls around on it shamelessly, the other cat walks carefuly around it at all times and is very suscpicious of it. The dog lies on it, but also chews on it.

Yes she is spoiled. It looks so much nicer on my leather couch than those traditional pet throws. Pets love these rugs.

This pelt just fits in his dog crate and he seems to really appreciate it. So does the cat! It looks quite attractive. I haven't cleaned it yet so I don't know if that will be a problem or not.

I bought the "pet pelt" instead of the human version because it is described as washable. We love the thickness and softness, but the dye job on the pelt is a little odd-looking. My boyfriend describes it as "faux muskrat". While I love the feel, decor-wise I wish I'd chosen a more normal color for the bathroom.
