Great for People and Pets By Mom to Two Beautiful Goldens from Chicago, IL on 12/22/2008 Describe Yourself: Bargain Hunter, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought two of these sheepskins for my Golden Retrievers. I use them on my leather sofa where the dogs like to sleep. They don't slip, and they protect the leather from the dogs' nails. The color is very practical, with the fur being a tan color with dark brown tips. I have other sheepskins that I use as throw rugs, and the Auskin Pet Pelt has shorter fur than those, but I think the shorter nap is more practical than the longwool varieties when used for pets. They are very soft, and when we people get to sit on the sofa, the pelt is very comfy for us, too. Images shared by: Mom to Two Beautiful GoldensWe love it! Tags: Using Product

You will fight your pet for this pelt. By Shepherd's daughter from Barboursville, VA on 12/14/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Easy To Clean, Warm and comforting Best Uses: Bedroom, Den, Living Room, Perfect size for office, Wood Floors Describe Yourself: Bargain Hunter, Natural products, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this pelt for my dog and cat to take turns snoozing. I discovered at once that it fits my computer chair perfectly and so we all are fighting over whose turn it is to use it.I grew up with sheepskin pelts like these. My father sold them in the '60's -'80's. I was amazed to see the [$] price, since that was what my father charged in the '70's. They have a very soft and silky finish to the wool. You will want to wrap it around you . From experience I have used these pelts as car seats, on favorite arm chairs. They are good for the bed ridden to prevent bed sores. And my mother put them in our beds on cold winter nights when I was a child. Try it and turn your thermostat down. They will last for years with a minimum of care. I see that now they come with washing washing instructions, although I haven't had mine long enough to wash. They do fine with a shaking out, and vac, and a very occasional hand wash.I was delighted to find these and I will be buying more so that my dog and cat finally get a pelt of their own.
Feline Tested, Feline Approved! By Ag Teacher from Illinois on 12/14/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Cozy and warm, Durable, Easy To Clean, Slip Resistant, Stain Resistant Best Uses: At the veterinarian, Bedroom, Den, For hard rocking chairs, In the car, Living Room, Outdoors, Tile Floors, Wood Floors Describe Yourself: Animal lover, Bargain Hunter, High-End Shopper, Practical, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Our cats have had sheepskins since they were born These pelts provide warmth, comfort, security and wherever we place the"sheeper"is where the cats will sleep. They also provide comfort and familiarity during stays or procedures at the vet's office. Although the washing instructions on this one are more conservative,I do throw ours in the washer with Woolite, then the dryer, then comb out with a slicker brush. This one is actually for my husband so he'll quit taking the cats'.

By the dog's friend from Boston, MA on 12/09/2008 Cons: Coarse, Short haired, Unattractive Describe Yourself: Bargain Hunter, High-End Shopper, Practical Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Not the quality of this company's other products. Yes, it is labled pet quality however it is equal to the fake sheepskin rugs you can purchase for much less money!
By Elbyesq from Richmond, VA on 12/09/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Good quality Describe Yourself: Bargain Hunter, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this for my mother's 12 year old dachshund. She LOVES it -- she has been tearing a little at the fur with no noticeable effect on the pelt and stays on it constantly while she is in the living room. It is a beautiful pelt -- very large and thick. I have bought another for my dogs.
