By bennie from australia on 05/07/2008 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Good Quality, Reliable, Stylish Best Uses: Everyday, Sport Describe Yourself: Athletic, High End Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Better than a basic HR monitor but can be a little complicated
By Triathlete from Washington DC on 04/28/2008 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Good Quality, Stylish Best Uses: Everyday, Non-water activities, Travel Describe Yourself: Athletic Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great for running and biking - good display, and easy to use once you read through the instructions (which is well worth it).
One problem: it's billed as water resistant, but isn't. The instructions note that you shouldn't press any buttons underwater, so I made sure not to do that. Even so, 36 hours after a swim workout (in a pool, not at depth), the display became erratic.
I like the watch enough that I'm replacing it with an identical one and not using it in the pool, but that was a big disappointment.
By cannon buster from Omaha, Ne on 04/28/2008 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Good Quality Describe Yourself: Athletic Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great to monitor HR zones for working out and cool to see how many calories you personally burn!
A bit bulky and not a great everyday wat By Cycling from York, PA on 04/23/2008 Describe Yourself: Athletic Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: A good product...the logic used to program the watch and change fields is certainly not intuitive.
Just what the coach ordered. By run for your life from Philadelphia, Pa on 04/15/2008 Pros: Good functions per coach, Good Quality, Reliable, Stylish Cons: Limited of days records Best Uses: Cardio training Describe Yourself: Athletic, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great functions for the $$ spent. Track training time zones. Only con is that it is limited in memory storage - so you can't store like a few days of training data. This is a good introduction to HRM. Suunto has a great website too.
By Biking T from Ypsilanti, MI on 04/09/2008 Pros: Good Quality, Stylish Describe Yourself: Athletic, Modern Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm really enjoying this watch. I use it at the gym & on my daily cycling commute. It has nice basic features & is easy to use. The large size is kind of cool-- its pretty chunky & hipster looking. Friends like it also.
By aa from Nashville, TN on 04/03/2008 Pros: Good Quality, Stylish Cons: Bezel is extremely white Describe Yourself: Athletic, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Watch is great, but the [*], which appears to to be grey in all pictures, is very, very, very white. It looks feminine, which is fine if that is what you want, but not if you don't.
By swim rach from santa fe Nm on 04/01/2008 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Good Quality, Reliable, Stylish Describe Yourself: Athletic Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Love the multiple zones, and the weekly and monthly records.
It is difficult to set up and also to remember how to use all of the buttons
By triathlete training from Evergreen, CO on 04/01/2008 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Good Quality, Reliable, Stylish Best Uses: Triathlon training Describe Yourself: Athletic, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It takes some reading of the manual to figure it out --but it gets the job done of telling average and peak heartrate. Comfortable chest straps.
Suunto T1 T. Watch "Not" as Advertised By PRW from Boston, MA/Fort Myers, Fl. on 03/24/2008 Pros: Adjustable Watchband Cons: Face smaller t advertised Describe Yourself: Athletic, High End Shopper, Practical, Stylish Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The T1 was advertised as a large-face athletic watch, however, the actual watch was at least a half inch smaller than claimed and it came in bright white rather than metalic (in finish). For the price, you could do much better with an array of other styles of watches.
